A Shock Collar for Lysander
Ah how could I miss out on the opportunity of some nice collar whump for Lysander? He’s such a nice soft boi ;) and of course I gotta add some choking and electricity to the mix as well.

I keep wanting to give my whumpers a redemption arc
What do y’all think? Are whumpers redeemable? What kind of them are? And which ones don’t deserve it? What about their relationship with the whumpee?
I think most of my redemption arcs involve a bigger threat to the whumpee than the whumper, and the whumper saving the whumpee’s life
And then there’s also the ones that I want to give the whumper a redemption arc but I also want the whumpee to be tortured by them forever
Alright, tell me about your ps? Any of your whumpers have redemption arcs? I need to talk about this
So I have a lot of emotions about this, particularly with regard to my Ariadne.
She is an exercise (a difficult one at times) in writing a character who does terrible things but also has positive traits, a fairly normal social life, etc. And at times I love her to bits (she is my terrible brainchild) despite her being an awful person. Could she be redeemed? Idk, what does redemption mean?
Could she stop torturing people? Absolutely, a change of circumstances could do that. Could she stop wanting to? Could she come to see her past actions as wrong? Less clear, but probably - through the right kinds of experiences and positive relationships. Does she deserve it?
Idk... Can people be forgiven for atrocities? Can they do enough good to ‘make up for it’, or should the good and evil be considered separately rather than weighed up against each other? I don’t feel able to make that moral judgement, but it sure is an interesting one to explore.
As for her relationship with Tacitus... that is never not going to be fucked up, considering what she did to him. That is always going to be between them. But could it shift to something that isn’t violent, something that produces more positive emotions than negative for both of them? Yes, I think so (I think about a lot, in fact, that kind of trainwreck of a relationship is a favourite trope). It wouldn’t be good for Tacitus’ potential recovery... but he’d rather be around her than not.
Some of the RP that I’ve done with her has her interacting with people who’d like to nudge her into a redemption arc. I think it’s very possible, but she may need a lot of nudging because she is very stubborn and very convinced that she’s in the right....
