Spent a week on this pfft-
To recap the inspiration:
Imagine a 1800s dark woods spooky circus, with mysterious, massive animated dolls doing the performances. It might reek of the occult and the shadows are a bit too active in the firelight, but what a magical wonder! Dolls that move with no strings! That sing and dance and perform incredible acrobatic stunts that would surely be the end of a human counterpart. Strange though, that village children always seem to go missing whenever the dark tents appear in the forest….
As with his solar partner, Moondrop was designed around vintage harlequin dolls. I can see him strumming a soothing harp or even a flute, lulling the audience into a languid stupor, or perhaps leading curious children to find the lovely sound hidden away on the circus grounds…

Thinking so hard about Sleuth Jesters, I finally finished it today and man the last chapters hit so hard sobbing on the floor. But this moment from chapt 2 was really good, maybe I’m just moon biased.
