It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraise on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives. Share and donate as much as you can.

let me make this simple. if people pointing out systematic inequality makes you feel "ostracized" that is your fucking problem, and expecting those people to alter their beliefs, their message, or their methods over what is fundamentally an issue of YOUR emotional comfort is entitled and self-centered in a way that exactly mirrors the assumptive primacy of male emotions and experiences under patriarchy that is being criticized in the first place. if you are even ENTERTAINING this bad-faith whining, which seeks to position men's emotional comfort as an equal counterbalance to women's political rights, deserving of equal concern, you are already doing an antifeminism and you cannot be shocked pikachu face about being treated like the enemy of the people you're trying to coax into coddling you, because that is exactly what you are. eat shit.

There's a very, very slim chance I'll be able to get my legal documents update before Trump's inauguration. But god damn, I'm going to try.

Unfortunately, the money I had been setting aside for it got eaten by an unexpected car repair. And I'm a broke graduate student. And its a $430 legal fee to get the judge's order in California. I could really, really use some help.

I will be applying for a fee waiver, but I'm unlikely to get it. I'm technically above the income threshold, partially due to fuckery in how grad student income is recorded. High cost of living also hurts.

I really, really don't like sponging money off of my followers. So, if I do get the fee waiver, or if I financially stabilize a bit more in the coming months (which is likely), I will donate an equivalent amount to whatever I receive here to Palestinian aide, an environmental cause, or if there is another specific cause or charity that will hurt under the new administration.

Here's the Hair Keyboard. I built this in 2020. It's basically just a relatively standard QWERTY membrane-dome keyboard, but it's got a very unique look, thanks to a lot of time spent with glue and fake fur from a hobby store. It took a LONG time to comb this thing into usability, and I cannot describe how it feels to type on.
