After seeing a jillion stupid things that Lorelai and Luke said to each other over the years, the Yale mattress for example, I have the headcanon that these things may start out as ignorance, but rapidly get mocked and converted into a banter that they both actively enjoy.
The Yale mattress was nicely dealt with in someone’s fanfic when she wrote blah blah blah mattress blah blah blah, Then it ended up in Lorelai’s garage as they always knew it would. (paraphrased)
And OMG @brittaden and @meags09 how could I forget this pre-series teen LL story, also still going on.

I haven’t ready too many teen Luke/Lorelai fics because I don’t know of that many, at least ones that are well-written and finished but this is what I managed to come up with. But these aren’t exactly finished.
The Unbearable Heaviness of Being – this one is one that I’m forever disappointed isn’t finished because it’s just so good. Still it’s over 80,000 words so it’s still a good read.
Friends Forever – also not finished, but interesting concept.
The Broken Road - bounces between ‘present day’ and the past with L/L as teens. also not finished but still a good story.
Start of a New Life – short and they’re teens.
I believe I know of some others, I just can’t find them right now. I’ll update this if I think of any others though. Fanfiction is seriously lacking in teen Luke/Lorelai stories.

For all fanfic writers suffering from writer’s block, hang in there. I’ve had quite a bit of it this year, partially due to illness, but also plain vanilla writer’s block.
The best thing to do is to keep plugging away, but also to switch things up. Try something crazy, something you haven’t been doing. That can stimulate your thought patterns differently.
What worked for me was I was waking up at 3 a.m. so I just started writing at that time. Even though it’s not final draft quality, at least I’m getting my plot and major points laid out.
If all else fails, remember what Luke said. You can do it.
