It isn’t one and you’re full of shit.

The term “cracker" comes from the use of whips against slaves.  It is meant as a racial slur and just because someone is white doesn’t mean they can’t be discriminated against.  AKA- Gay/lesbian white people.  And yes, contrary to popular belief, cracker is a rather commonly used slur :)

How about this?  Don’t defend the term cracker because I’m sure you wouldn’t want a white person defending the right to call you a “nigger" or “spec" or anything else.

And to my fellow Caucasians, I get that everyone thinks minorities being jerks to us is ok since our foolish ancestors oppressed them for so long, but don’t get sensitive about it.  We are still the majority and even if a good portion of us fight on their behave we are still the bad guys to a large number of people.  It’s how the world works.

Okay but, the word cracker hasn’t been used to kill people or to dehumanize them. The N-word has and is still being used in that capacity today. This isn’t even about discrimination or anything of the sort. Cracker isn’t a racial slur, how does being a cracker of the whip hurt youf feelings? The word hasn’t been used in sense of killing/maiming white people.

Also, Caucasian doesn’t equal white. Everything about your argument is strange and the way you set it up is a straw man. A racial slur is something that is used against people and has oppressed them as a people. White people in America, aren’t oppressed racially and don’t years of slavery to go with the word cracker.

You can’t equate the N-word with the word cracker because the two haven’t been used historically in the same context. You keep saying that it’s commonly used, by who? The word cracker is basically showing where white people stood in society over African-Americans/Black Americans. Also, the fact that you can’t say one of them says a lot.
