Kinda sick & tired of all KONY 2012 arguments
As a friend said: Advocates, get educated: IC is a controversial nonprofit organization & you should read into the reasons why many do not support them including low ratings on accountability & transparency & supporting Ugandan military who probably also rape & loot. As for the opponents who seem to already be educated: IT DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT WHAT JOSEPH KONY IS DOING IS WRONG. Just because he is in hiding doesn't mean he's stopping. Does Africa have to lose a million before some country does something? If you don't want to support IC, DON'T. Call & write to congress instead. Find something more helpful to do than sitting back on Facebook & making statuses/memes about how everyone is so ignorant. Yes, military intervention will mean that PEOPLE (& CHILDREN) will DIE. But sometimes, there's just no "right" answer to the problem.
I'm all for spreading Kony's name but do some research before you give money to ANY organization. If you want to contact your reps, look them up and inform them if you're concerned.
