dafuq, fairy tail?

I'd started watching Fairy Tail a couple of days ago and just finished Episode 24: To Keep From Seeing Those Tears.

All I have to say is...

Why the fuck did you write Lisanna like that, Mashima? No one really acts like that, you fucking douchenozzle. Quit encouraging and perpetuating this bullshit.

If there's a wild lion raging about, are you gonna try to hug it back to its senses? No, because it will fucking maul you into meaty slices.

Nevermind the ridiculous, porn star body proportions for almost all of the women. The misogynistic fuckery in this anime that perpetuates the worst and most annoying kinds of stereotypical "LET'S ALL BE FRIENDS" bullshit for the ladies (even Erza; seriously, what the fuck does she ask of Natsu and Gray when we first meet her? SHE ASKS FOR THEM TO GET ALONG! No man gives a flying fuck whether or not they get along!) and "BECAUSE I'M A MAN" machismo is beyond ridiculous sometimes.

I like the anime for the most part but I cringe for the girls. Seriously, though. What the fuck is with all the goddamn moaning sounds. This is why I often can't take "shoujo" nor "shounen" anime/manga seriously—it keeps perpetuating stupid-ass gender roles/stereotypes and it doesn't take women seriously.

I can't take "that's how it is" for an answer; if that were always the answer, a lot of civil rights activism wouldn't have succeeded. For the most part, the anime is fairly entertaining. It has the same feel as Naruto in that it's action-packed and tries to appeal to the audience's emotions through their "the moral of the story is _____" arcs so I'd recommend it for that. However, I'm calling you out on your bullshit, Mashima and worshippers.
