Sucks for you bitch!
Oh but black people can’t make shit happen. It’s
JUST about money…..
I just found out this is all from something she said 20 YEARS AGO. It’s fricking ridiculous to punish someone for something that far in the past. I’m sure i’ve said some stupid, ignorant shit growing up. We all have. Let it go
up no actually she paid her black workers less, made them use a separate entrance and bathroom than the costumers, called them n-words and other racial slurs and her brother sexually abused one of her workers
why do you think she’s being sued?
actually reading a news article could have told you that you simple motherfucker
I can’t fathom that folks actually believe:
- She had “nigger" once
- That that one time was 20 years ago.
Are you the same freshman that believed you actually had to buy an elevator pass to get to the pool on the roof? WTF?
^^^^
I know there’s someone else he should be apologizing to, but I just can’t put my finger on it. Give me a minute, I’m sure it’ll come to be eventually…

That’s real? That’s his apology?

Is it just me, or was PSY treated likeshiton Ellen? He was just mentioned as being some kind of internet joke, a guy who does a silly little dance when in fact he has been a huge artist in South Korea for many years and has a lot of talent. He had to stop Ellen and introduce himself and where he was from, because nobody was actually polite enough to do it for him. I felt really embarrassed for him.
Britney seemed to think he was just some random weirdo foreigner. And Simon Cowell wouldn’t even get up and dance or properly acknowledge him, which I think is pretty disrespectful
this^
My mom almost said that exactly. How he had to ask to introduce himself.
as much as i am happy for psy getting recognition here in the us (and it was very unexpected too lol. everyone thought it would be 2ne1), let’s be honest here: he’s seen as a big joke in america. i mean the song isn’t serious and psy doesn’t take his ownself seriously, but i feel like america (*white*) is just putting him on this “ooo look at that asian guy singing a funny song lolol” pedestal. i’ve already seen people comparing him to william hung.
i’m really torn here because i want to feel so happy for psy and his success but i know how america sees him: as one big joke.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^reasons why I hate seeing that gifset on my dash
plus britney
the fuck are you wearing
you appropriate my clothing and then treat one of my fellow asians like shit
yea srsly is she wearing a qipao or what.
THIS (okay not directly above but a little more up)
I really think Psy was treated like shit. Like, remember that guy, William Hung, from American Idol who is Asian American and he “sang horribly” and is “ugly” and “so stereotypically Asian” that they made him a phenomenon for singing Ricky Martin songs?
So a person who doesn’t fit that or doesn’t want to be your new William Hung, you still try to force him into it.
THIS. The US is pretty much obsessed with categorizing Asian and Asian American folks as the “perpetual foreigners”, even when that narrative is blatantly contradicted by reality.
It doesn’t matter that Psy is a successful (and long-lived, considering he’s been around for over a decade) pop star. It doesn’t matter that he has an academic background in music. It doesn’t matter that he clearly puts a lot of thought into his work, or that he uses humor as a form of social commentary.
Nope. It all boils down to, “Hey, aren’t Asian people weird?”
True of many of the "nerdy" guys I knew/know.
Sign for all doors.
mswyrr:
..how empowering it was for women to work as “bunnies” in his fucking clubs. They quoted Gloria Steinem talking about her experience working at a Playboy Club and how exploitative and misogynistic it was.
Then Hugh Hefner comes on and is all SRY BITCH LEMME...
