There are tons of things to criticize Sarkeesian for, not having omnipotent knowledge of all things video games is not one of them.

People still think Anita has played video games.

It seems pretty obvious that she means the newer generation of Lara Croft considering DLC was not a thing back during any of these games.

Apparently some white blogger tells me that Paki isn’t a racial slur, honey, it’s a shortened version of Pakistani and of course the pure racial hatred and marginalization against Asian immigrants in the UK during the 60’s never happened or that after 9/11 Paki was used a slur for all sorts of brown people including Arabs, Persians, etc. But let’s all just agree that Sir White Blogger asserts that Paki is abbreviated and harmless. Our friend lives in another galaxy, it seems.

She was young and ignorant. She apologized. She owned up to her mistake. Can you move on to people who are actually targeting minority groups instead of our own allies, please? You're wasting your energy by yelling "PRIVILEGE!" Yes, Green has privilege. No, she's not using it against you.

I understand she's done a lot for people in terms of sex education, probably more than you have. That video was from 2009. It's 2012 and she's developed beyond using such slurs. Believe it or not, people do grow up. If this is your response to maturity, then you don't deserve to be an activist. Like the rest of us, Green has more growing up to do. The difference between she and the people who don't give a shit at all about social justice is that she actually wants to continue growing. So kindly shut the fuck up and let her do her thing. It's one thing to criticize someone, it's quite another to act like the trolls and jags that target Anita Sarkeesian.

I have all the respect for what these people said. If you're gonna work in any popular industry, you need to be smarter than that and learn not to degrade people who are at the top of their game, especially if you're n00b in the industry. That's poor networking and just plain common sense. Anyone who tolerates and perpetuates any kind of -ism is an ass-hat and should be called out on it. If anyone should be ashamed, it's people like you who sit on their ass, trying to shame people who are actually trying to put a stop to the problem.
