Jon Jafari is undeniably a white nationalist.
This man is espousing is white nationalism. I’m posting his tweets with incredibly common propaganda WN use for comparison. Look at his last tweet and #3 on the last pic.(caps from @anti-anime-pro-equality)
“demographic suicide”, “No one would ask Japan to become less Japanese” He is espousing classic white nationalist (WN) rhetoric, the very same type you’d find on far-right reddit boards and rightfully getting called a racist dumbass for it. Being mixed does not stop someone from spouting this shit either (I know of several mixed white nationalists on tumblr alone, including some non-white passing). Surprisingly he was smart enough to say not say “white genocide” word for word.
these tweets arent the only proof that this dude has gone far-right conspiracist, here are some tidbits from Jon’s debate on the topic with Destiny:
Here he is directly referencing the first WN image shown.
This analogy is total BS btw, people who claim this have never read about Tibet or Chinese colonization. The analogy falls on its face when you know Tibet was invaded, over 100~300k Tibetans were forcibly relocated and Tibetans live under government repression. Thats more in line with what Native American’s faced than white Americans. Ofc, thats his other analogy
This is paranoia. This is pure paranoia, the same type that makes people believe in shit like race war and white genocide. WHO and WHAT is displacing whites in America? How? Population change IS NOT synonymous with displacement. There is NOTHING happening to white American’s that parallels Native American (or Tibetan) displacement in any manner. Whites aren’t being chased out of home en masse.
“ What do you call a large number of people from one specific place, coming in, setting up their ethnic enclaves and then waving their own flag inside of our nation? There are large swathes of them who want to break parts of America back into Mexico.“
Dude… there’s a lot to say about this but mostly imagine the anger and fear he feels driving past Mexican restaurants and elote carts
This shitbag talks about identity politics while crying about wanting to keep America a majority white (an identity).
Jon can’t argue for shit and obviously has a very poor comprehension of the already moronic things he believes. All his talking points are poorly parroted versions of the garbage you’ll see on WN blogs here. You can tell he didn’t think this shit up himself. He’s copying far/alt-right memes from /pol/ and Stormfront.
What concerns me about this is the fact that this xenophobic asshole has thousands of young and impressionable fans.
Further evidence that he browses /pol/ and white nationalist sites, he references the “/ourguy/” meme in his 2017 Q&A video.
So yeah, he’s fully aware that many of his fans are white supremacists and is actively encouraging them.
when a customer getting crazy and you thinking about risking it all
DVA,Genji and Hanzo vs ? ? ?
like you might mean well but this drawing is pretty racist. you’re reimagining overwatch characters as samurai champloo characters who are all japanese, and while Hanzo and Genji are both japanese, Dva is korean.
And in depicting Dva as this japanese character you’re essentially reinforcing the stereotype of how all east/south-east asians are the same and a monolithic entity which is very harmful and not okay.
edit: especially because Japan has a history of imperialism within east and south-east asia and has forced many people of the countries (which includes korea) under it’s thumb at that time to assimilate and discard their own heritage, culture, language, and roots
^^^^ You’re a fucking idiot. It is LITERALLY JUST FANART DRAWN BASED OFF OF POSES FROM AN ANIME. They didn’t even use the exact same style, and they are just having fun drawing art! They probably didn’t even pay attention to the character’s nationalities and race all too much when drawing this. It’s fucking fan art, calm the fuck down. Now, OP, your art is great! Just ignore the “this art is racist” bullshit! Just keep doing what you’re doing! It’s great!
lol maybe you should shut the fuck up considering it’s not just the same poses the overwatch characters are drawn wearing literally the same outfits as the samurai champloo characters except for the color scheme and you can have fun drawing art and still you pay attention to details that are important in order to not do something that perpetuates racist notions that are directly affecting REAL, LIVING people TODAY
also interesting that u say they weren’t paying attention to nationalities and races considering samurai champloo is really distinctly and obviously set in japan and 2/3 of the overwatch characters they chose to portray as samurai champloo characters are japanese and the third one is conveniently one of the only two east asian women in overwatch
One, I don’t think the OP even knows the characters names, considering they didn’t tag their names and put question marks instead of their names. Two, they mostly used the same outfits because they were using the Samurai Champloo pic as a fucking base and didn’t want to draw all new outfits. Also, you are a COMPLETE fucking idiot if you think this art affects anyone negatively at all. Well, it affects over sensitive pussies like yourself who get so worked up over a FUCKING DRAWING ON THE INTERNET. It literally harms NO ONE. Seriously, only assholes like you that actively try to find bullshit reasons to get offended are looking this and thinking “OH THIS IS ABOUT ASIAN PEOPLE STEREOTYPES AND RACISM uwu.” Most people look at this and think, “Oh, someone made cute art of completely fictional characters. It is cute and I like it. Reblog and like!” That is literally it! Only people who are trying to find things to be offended by will look at this and think about stereotypes and racism and such. YOU are the one making this about race and stuff. YOU are the one trying to make a completely innocent drawing a controversial thing with your bullshit. For all you know, the artist could be asian! Shut your god damn mouth and stop trying to police art. OP, I’m sorry for this drama garbage. Your art is wonderful!
Like… you can argue that it’s “just a parody” or that “they didn’t pay attention to the nationalities” or whatever but in the end it’s still a really shitty thing to do.
They drew D.Va with what looks like kanzashi in her hair + if it’s a straight pose rip, a kimono?
In order to understand why this is kind of fucked up, you need to understand that Korea and Japan don’t particularly have a great relationship historically. D.Va is Korean. And given the Japanese occupation of Korea where Korean people were forcibly stripped of their culture - it’s insensitive at the VERY least and yes PRETTY RACIST. Korean women (as well as Chinese women) were forced into sexual slavery for the Japanese military and labeled as “comfort women”??? People were violently forced to assimilate and given Japanese names and beaten unless they spoke Japanese. My grandparents lived through the occupation and can still read and speak Japanese to this date because they were forced to learn w/ the threat of violence and death. It’s fucking offensive to Koreans. It’s not just some made up “bullshit”
Even beyond the historical insensitivity this piece exhibits, mainstream western culture so often conflates East Asian countries together. I’ve personally been taunted with “ching chong” and had people wildly guess my ethnicity. This sort of behavior isn’t just limited to playground taunts either. Take Vincent Chin, for example. A Chinese man who was murdered because he was mistaken as Japanese? Perpetuating the Asian monolith myth is not only disrespectful. It’s dangerous. So no, it’s not just “fanart”. Sorry your opinions literally don’t fucking matter in this case because HISTORICALLY shit like this has harmed East Asians.
Also, OP didn’t even draw this art. They stole it from the original artist so, lmao. @scarletgoldenthorn you’re not even ~defending~ the right person. I hope it was worth it spending a part of ur day defending an art reposter.
<apparently the only thing you can be upset about is if the art was stolen and reposted LMAO otherwise, ”you’re segregating cultures!!!”>
Racism is over thanks to @scarletgoldenthorn everybody just learn to stop being a total whiny bitch and love Japanese imperialism, what might they rant about next- how ‘comfort women’ were ‘handsomely paid for their services and not raped and abused at all’? I’m dying to find out.
@scarletgoldenthorn you wanna shut the fuck up lmao. sit the fuck down and stop defending art that isnt even yours you extra bitch
There is literally no issue with this drawing. <more racism>
this isnt a discussion this, its korean people telling you to know your place you cunt
<racism>
korean history isnt a discussion will you drop that. who’s “they” huh? oh right, koreans! when a korean, such as me, tells you to shut up just stop. why are you so obbsessed with koreans being able to wear kimonos, unless you’re korean or japanese your opinion means literally nothing so sit! the! fuck! down!
<white tears>
It’s literally not about what Korean people /can/ wear though? We’re literally saying that lumping D.Va in an Overwatch x Samurai Champloo crossover piece done in this manner is racist because of the historical implications there that parallel both imperialist Japanese and western stereotypes about Korean people??
And just because your ancestors had a ~history of oppression~ that you’re fine with ignoring, that doesn’t mean that you get to talk over multiple people who are pointing out why this is a problem. There are now five different people telling you that there is a context that you have no authority to be speaking over us on. Maybe instead of getting defensive and calling all of us hyper-sensitive pussies and de-railing the central point of what was being said, you should hear us out and analyze what’s being said with an introspective outlook.
Not to mention, this isn’t a thing that happened centuries ago and remains in the past. These tensions still exist. My grandmother still has trouble responding to her Korean name. My aunt, who currently lives in America, speaks more English and Japanese than Korean. My mother got verbally shit on by her family and her husband for learning Japanese from the Japanese embassy - in the 1970s. My sister was almost disowned for taking Japanese as her language in high school (early 2000s). I almost got disowned for taking Japanese as part of my college major (literally a few months ago). Japan’s prime ministers flip flop between conciliatory olive branch relations with Korea and claiming that comfort women were “wartime necessities” rather than the war crimes they were. You might think that some of these are absurd and yes I admit that my father especially is a conservative Korean man but the point is, these tensions are still very largely unresolved.
This one piece of art might not have an earth-shattering impact on the perception of Korean people but it’s one more piece that aggressive racists can use as fodder. It’s one more show of ignorance, and whether it’s benign or malignant I’m sure OP can clarify that.
At this point this “discussion” isn’t even about OP anymore, it’s about people like you who insist that the multiple people disagreeing with you are the pussies and insist that your voice be the One Voice that everyone listens to when it’s very obvious you have no ground to stand on with regard to the context.
<all east asians look the same apparently>
You do realize that’s irrelevant to what we were saying? What does it matter where Mugen is from? Is D.Va (Korean) supposed to be a stand-in for him (Ainu)? No, you literally said yourself that D.Va has been superimposed on Fuu.
And again, you’re de-railing and ignoring us. As far as I know, this whole thing started with you taking it upon yourself to be aggressively ignorant after someone pointed out a potentially problematic point in their art. This conversation has moved beyond OP and their (potentially reposted) art and to you and your refusal to pipe down and listen to us. This is going beyond the art and into what /you/ are saying and doing that is ignorant.
You were the one who lashed out first by calling the first commenter a “fucking idiot” and maybe it’s time for you to ask yourself why you reacted so rabidly to someone pointing out a set of stereotypes the art seems to perpetuate instead of telling all of us that we’re reacting over nothing.
<informing about japanese imperialism is “racial propaganda” apparently>
<friend of scarlet’s with nothing of interest to add>
@lazy-afternooner lmao geez.. just wondering if you’re seeing this too & if you wanna say what’s up on your side. I read you tried to do some retroactive damage control in the tags but I guess some people have decided to assume you’re being bullied and have gone into full troll mode. If you need some hanbok refs or drawing tips, I’ll find you some. No big deal & I’m sure a lot of Koreans would like to see that artwork.
guys look at this non-korean tryna tell koreans whats racist and what isnt
this is hilarious
@scarletgoldenthorn can kiss my gooky ass
korean people: *gives free education on the cultural history between japan and korea and its correlation to this art’s implication—art being one of the things that are defining points at any given point in history*
this non-korean shitstain: I’M NOT RACIST, YOU’RE RACIST BY TELLING ME IT’S RACIST!! STAHP BEING UPSET, KOREANS!! IT’S RACIAL PROPAGANDA!! IT’S JUST PIXELS!! ART MEANS NOTHING!!
you can’t even go one paragraph without insulting people who are rightfully upset and who clearly know more about their own culture and history than you do.
anyway, here are other racists to exercise your block list who agreed with this ignorant edgelord (with receipts; unlinked means it’s a reply i can’t link): fancypantaloones, pokecrettes, augur-of-dunlain, blind-venerer, f77k, mooncplise-dump, tatarthekaiju, doppel-dude, and kurtcurtis.

what the fuck possesses white people to call us “yellow” as if it’s okay for them to say????
“yellow” has a deep, awful, bloody historical context. it was constantly used to dehumanize us and use chinese immigrants against freed black slaves and native americans. then it was used by white people to describe “cowards and liars”—propaganda painted chinese people as morally inferior and chinese men as sexual deviants who seduce and deceive white women. in fact, the government passed the page law in 1875 which was the first restrictive immigration law that prohibited east asian women from entering—east asian men were allowed because they could be forced to do hard labor for cheap. having their families in the states would make them press for higher wages. the fear of east asians “stealing jobs” from white workers is what started the “yellow peril” propaganda. this idea began in the states but didn’t stay there—it spread internationally.
when east asians call ourselves yellow, it is to reclaim it. when white people call us yellow, it perpetuates every awful orientalist, racially fetishistic, and stereotypes against east asians that currently exists today.
LGBT social justice retards are mad that asexuals are calling normal people allosexual. They claim it’s implying a power structure that doesn’t exist. Meanwhile, trans people are calling normal people cis.
Hmmmm…
I can’t imagine why you lost all those trans followers, mitch.
I really can’t.
Mitch, thank you for demonstrating that you’re a piece of shit who only supports the discriminated when you can use it as a cudgel against the horrible essjaydoubleyoos, even when you yourself clearly struggle to understand what’s going on.
I saw a guy with a “Smart Phones Make Dumb People” bumper sticker talking on a Samsung Galaxy as he drove down the highway, and honestly I haven’t seen modern art in motion like that in my entire millennial life
The most recent tweet from that account:

Y'all go off!
Mexico City — Legislators in Mexico City passed a proposal on Thursday to bar presidential candidate Donald Trump from entering the country.
Though the proposal amounts to a tellingly symbolic gesture, the lawmakers hope the measure will pressure Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to take a more adamant stand against Trump’s xenophobic rhetoric — including his blanket characterization of Mexican immigrants as ‘rapists and criminals.’
“What we’re saying is that if he wants to build a wall so that Mexicans can’t enter his country, then he is not welcome in our country,” Manuel Delgadillo explained to WorldPost.“What we need now is for President Peña Nieto to make a strong statement condemning Mr. Trump’s anti-Mexican comments.”
Delgadillo also said the Mexico City legislators were concerned with the billionaire’s “hyper-nationalist” dialogue, which has stoked anti-Mexican sentiment throughout the United States.
Deputy Víctor Hugo Romo of the Revolutionary Democratic Party — the politically left political party responsible for the proposal — compared Trump to Hitler, calling him “primeval, egocentric, and primitive.”
“Hitler was very popular,” Romo said, reported MSV Noticias. “He generated a lot of sympathy by adopting nationalist politics that vindicated the Germans’ sense of self-worth. [Trump] is practically a copy. I consider Donald Trump a chauvinist, a misogynist who fosters and leans toward repression … He doesn’t respect diversity.”
Trump’s demagoguery has also been recently condemned by two of Mexico’s former presidents.
Felipe Calderón denigrated Trump’s anti-immigrant policy for its transparency in not being aimed at immigration, per se, instead saying “he is talking about migrants that have a different color than him — and that is frankly racist.” He sharply cautioned that Trump “is turning the United States into a neighbor that we’re all going to end up rejecting and hating.”
In interviews, Vicente Fox called Trump “crazy” and a “false prophet.” He also repeatedly stated, referring to the candidate’s proposal that Mexico must fund the building of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, “I’m not going to pay for that fucking wall … He should pay [for] it … He’s got the money.”
He added that “Democracy cannot pick crazy people” who don’t “know what’s going on in the world.”
However, the remarkably tabloid-esque field of presidential hopefuls for the 2016 election would appear to evidence exactly that.
The way we perceive time and history is so weird I get so tripped out when I think about how Cleopatra lived closer tot he iPhone being invented than she did to the Great Pyramids being built. Or how Stonehenge would have already been ruins when Jesus walked the earth or how Oxford University is older than the Aztec Empire or how Anne Frank and MLK were born in the same year like man this it’s all so crazy
this fucked me up
