I mean i get why, if you have any standards you think you will be alone ,accountability is far too much to ask of anyone, if your standards overlap with any political ideas you can strap in for being called a political purist at best and a cult leader at worst. People will dismiss diminish infantilize and try to unperson you for being like "no liberal you cant hang out" or "i refuse to knowingly fuck a genocide apologist" or "i dont care how queer or trans or not white you are, im not going to let you spout off some conservative to fash nonsence". I know why, you dont want to be alone and think that you will be if you live a genuine life, so you cover up, keep your head down,dont speak up. And they like the quiet unassuming paletable you, so as long as you stay that way they will love you, and they will have to externalize their feelings, about you, onto a "bad one" me and all i want is a thank you.
