My guilty pleasure is injured characters. Kind of wish there was drabble to this, but I’m not a writer lol. If anyone wants to go for it! Just tag me so I can see it!

Tundratown - was covered in ice. Who would have thought?

Certainly not Nick Wilde, not until he took that hard right turn around the corner after the badger and his feet kept going straight. He felt the wind go out of his chest and heard Judy suck in a hiss of air behind him.

“Nick-”

“I’m okay!” He popped back up to his feet, feeling the tingling of belated adrenaline in his ears. “I’m okay.” At least Judy was the only one who’d seen that.

Judy, and this cornered badger, but his opinion didn’t matter. He’d whipped around to face them in the dead end, and just as quickly locked up under Judy’s accurate taser deployment. Nick waited for her to call the clear and then grabbed the perp’s wrists.

It hurt. A lot. But this guy wasn’t putting up that much of a fight. And Nick couldn’t get the cuffs to behave, which was a weird thing to experience after he’d spent so long drilling in their use. It took four tries until they snicked into place around his wrists. Nick stepped back to cover and Judy, seamlessly enough, took over to frisk their new friend.

Nick worked his wrists, and nearly hissed at the unexpected bolt of pain up his right arm. It hurt when he checked it with the fingers of his left paw, too.
