cute coquette like journals ♡
My own personal travel journal and the only one of creations I've kept.
Monthly subscriber projects are done! This month was about book binding in honor of NaNoWriMo– the large Jiminy Journal is a tablet cover (for people who prefer typing their works), and the little red notebook is a blank canvas for all of your wild plotting adventures. <3
Reward is available until the 7th, so if you wanna learn how to make your own, now’s the time! Head over to my KoFi page and sign up for my Mini-makers tier!
Next up, MasterClass Project~
Latest completed custom ordered leather journals. Personally, I prefer aging because it gives better contrast. But this time, journals are in a natural leather color tone.
im not 100% pleased with it but as i am frequently and loudly reminded, i never am. i think it looks pretty cute and now i just need a paint marker to do the jewel highlights and also not to get super insane about alcohol ink art suddenly

Aka my Chestnut tree Shinola, in the inspirational chestnut tree itself
Just completed my latest design
Custom job I did for a family member going into college, still one of my favorites. Unfortunately the Forest Pine journal has since been discontinued by Shinola.
So recently I was out and about at Barnes and Noble and out of the corner of my eye I spotted the most lovely lavender/purple journal in their bargain section. This is not my first Piccadilly journal from Barnes and Noble, but when I opened the packaging I was quite surprised and shocked at results–there were already indentations from the rubber band, a couple dents, and the often convenient pocket in the back was all crooked as if it had just been slapped on there. The bottom line of the story was for me to always inspect my journals. It’s a rarity that I don’t, at at the time I couldn’t take the time to pick out the best volume. Anyway trying to turn this into a worthy journal, after a lot of brainstorming and random searches I came upon this laptop decal on Amazon, which can be found here (x) Now it’s come to my attention that there was a more expensive/detailed version on Amazon, but that wasn’t my goal. Once the decal came in though I admit it was a risk for me to willingly put decal to cover. But thankfully with the exception of the tiniest pieces (which happens with most of these rub ons so i was super careful) I was able to make my first Batgirl journal/notebook. Total cost: Appr. $12 (mainly for the cost of the sticker) End game: SUCCESS! It’s exactly how I pictured it in my head! Obviously something that helped was the surface of the journal being comparable to Moleskins and Laptops. If it were any other texture I doubt this would have been pulled off well.
