I have heard a lot of people say this yes! I do think it's true, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. But it is kind of beautifully poetic to imagine that Helaena saw the outcome of the battle of God's Eye in a vision and knew that the war was lost for them and overcome in grief joined Aemond. It's tragic and lovely all the same and I love it :)

So why not make Helaemond canon and Aemond the father Helaena’s children ?? Helaemond would add another tragic dimension to the already fraught family dynamics of House Targaryen.
Okay the more I think about this the more I live for it. As a huge Jaime/Cersei fan I can’t believe I didn’t see this on my own.
The parallels between Aemond and Jaime go further too, I feel like they are both rash and impulsive although bound by duty. Jaime starting the war after attacking Ned for the capture of his brother Tyrion. Aemond starting the war after trying to scare Luke but killing him, and this is spurned again by perceived disrespect of his brother, Aegon. Interesting.
I’m kind of interested in Cersei/Helaena parallels too now. Helaena’s story is so focused on dreaming and visions of the future, what may come. Cersei’s entire life is ruled by the prophecy of the witch and her inability to change the future. And Cersei dreams of changing her future so many times, they are both bound by what they know is going to unfold and are helpless to change it. Not to mention yeah their loveless marriages…to incompetent Kings prone to possible violent outbursts.
I agree anon that going the route of making Aemond the father adds an extra layer of intrigue to the show and adds some interesting parallels to GOT, idk what they’re going to do but the hypothesizing is fun either way.

Kinda obsessed with the idea of oblivious drunken incapable Aegon and Robert. Countered by jealous and possessive and infatuated Jaime and Aemond.
Helaena and Cersei are the least alike, but I love to think of younger Cersei as having some of Helaena’s softness, her belief that maybe things can work out with her true love even when the signs point against it. And oh! Helaena as a dreamer and Cersei’s obsession with the witch’s prophecy 🫣 I’m seeing the vision. I’m also not opposed to Helaena giving into some more sinister impulses as Cersei is so apt to do.
I’m now envisioning AUs in which the greens win the war but Aegon dies and Aemond and Helaena have to navigate the aftermath while Jaehaerys ascends the throne.
Anyway the implications are delicious anon and I will always be an Aemond is the father truther even after the show inevitably refutes it lol.

Helaemond Modern AU a lovely two part series (for now) that's just sweet and fun!
OnlyFans AU this is so good, beyond the sex aspects the plot is so well structured and the angst is perfect!
stop getting fast, it's not gonna happen I love a good reluctantly in love fic, where they know it's wrong but they can't stop.
AEGON KNOWS AU:
I get kinda fascinated with the idea of Aegon knowing, and in this one Aegon is the mastermind behind everything, it's just such a fun fic. But it does feature Aegon/Helaena/Aemond, just as fair warning.
CANONVERSE:
I could recommend anything by MissAtomicBomb so I'm going to keep it to my top 3 here.

The brain rot is showing no signs of stopping so here is another Helmond one shot. This time we have... *spins wheel* Helaena POV the night Aemond loses his eye, because I’m a sucker for a little hurt and comfort.
As promised, another Helaena x Aemond one shot. This one is my imagining of the dance scene is 1x08, and I spent an embarrassing amount time analyzing body language and background acting from that moment so give it a read if you’d like!

people legitimately being threatened by and hating on helaemond is actual comedy. they have never exchanged words on the show. we have like 4.5 scenes and one line of dialogue for aemond referencing her. HOW are you not embarassed.
In an extremely predictable turn of events, I have written a Helmond one shot. This should be a surprise to absolutely nobody if you’ve looked at my blog even once this past month.
Basically, Alicent realizes the truth of what her children have done. And grapples with her feelings on the matter.
