One more duckling by Regina Via Flickr: This is another one of the young ferruginous pochards I saw at the zoo last week. They were tiny, not even a handful, and utterly adorable. As you can imagine they got lots of attention from the visitors. :)

Duckling cuteness by Regina Via Flickr: Last weekend when I was at the neatby park I saw some ducklings but at the time only had my macro lens with me. So I returned to the park yesterday morning and luckily found them again near the place where I had first met them. This time I was equipped with my long telezoom lens, the ducklings were quite cooperative too and I could take a series of photos. Maybe I will post a few more occasionally. These ducklings are young red-crested pochards (Netta rufina), a species I don't see very often here, which made the encounter even more exciting.
