Happy ! by Regina Via Flickr: This funny looking fellow is my favourite of the Arabian foals at Marbach. As you can see he was about to shed his baby coat when I took this photo. I think this shows quite well that with every change of coat the young Arabian horses also change colour. This foal will get grey or even white when he grows up.
Young and Proud by Regina Via Flickr: This is another one of the Arabian foals at Marbach. One thing I love about the foals is that (unlike their mothers) they aren't only interested in grass, grass and more grass. Instead they love to pose for photos too. :)
Nice to meet you ! by Regina Via Flickr: Here is one of several Arabian foals I met at Marbach. It's always a delight to see them but taking photos wasn't easy this time as they were on a pasture with very long grass in which the foals almost disappeared. :)
Mother and son on the pasture by Regina Via Flickr: A warmblood mare and her foal on a pasture at Marbach. It often seems to worry horses when I'm lying or sitting on the ground to take photos and they come closer to check if I'm okay. :)
Grass inspection by Regina Via Flickr: Apart from the Arabian horses, Marbach also breeds German warmbloods and this is one of the foals of this year. Although they mainly feed on their mother's milk, they eat grass too and the pasture is of course full of interesting things to discover.

Mother and Daughter by Regina Via Flickr: Here is a another capture from the pastures at Marbach. The mare and filly are German warmblood horses.
On the pasture of the Arabs by Regina Via Flickr: This is a view on the pasture of the Arabs at Marbach with a lovely filly in the foreground. In the background is their stable where they are at night or when the vet has to look after one of them. They aren't kept in horseboxes in that stable but can walk around freely and the foals can continue to play with each other even if they aren't outdoors. Again I was sitting on the ground when I took this photo and used a wide-angle lens as I was too close to the horses for the telezoom lens. I will bore you with more horse photos in the next days (or probably rather weeks). No need to comment if you are fed up with them, really. :)
Little Arab by Regina Via Flickr: This one is probably my favourite of this year's Arabian foals at Marbach, very cute, very curious and a quite willing photo model too. :)
Heavy head by Regina Via Flickr: The Arabian foals are very active now, they are busy playing and annoying each other, but occasionally they suddenly get so tired that they simply can't stand on their feet any longer. They fall asleep on the spot but usually the nap only lasts a few minutes.
Buttercup daydreams by Regina Via Flickr: It's not only the time of the foals at Marbach, it's also the time of the buttercups and both foals and buttercups make a lovely combination, especially when the foals lie down on the pasture dotted in yellow for a little nap.
Would you believe me if I tell you that I'm stuck ? by Regina Via Flickr: Of course the foal was NOT stuck. She was just curious, like foals often are, especially as I was eating an apple.
