I get asked all the time if my son is a Marvel fan ... Well yes he is, but these are mine.
Level of Marvel fangirlness continues to rise in my office .... Note that in my world Cap and Iron man are not fighting. They are all one big super hero family in my office.
Sometimes I wish Marvel weren’t so good at casting.
Maybe if anyone other than Sebastian Stan had been cast as Bucky Barnes I would be less emotionally compromised right now.
Same for Chris Evans
Do those Marvel or the pair of them have any idea the fucking tears they are responsible for????? Do they???
Any thoughts about Bucky/WS being left out of this new Marvel/Coke promo for the Super Bowl? With all respect to Paul Rudd, I just have trouble believing Antman is going to be a bigger deal than Bucky in CACW. Seb shot for 5 months, and that translates to a lot of screen time. And Seb is gaining 30,000 followers a month on Instagram now. So why leave him out, unless his character has a big transformation in the movie so they don't want to promote him as WS?
As noted in a previous answer, I was crazy busy with weekend with DS’s birthday, so I’m just not getting to answer this. That being said, I would have been sorely disappointed had the Civil War trailer shown during the Super Bowl coverage not included Bucky. Thankfully, Marvel isn’t completely crazy so it did.
Of course, it just left us all freakin’ out more about our ever diminishing chances of actually surviving Civil War.
I’ve resigned myself to my fate. I won’t make it through the movie. Hell, I may not make it through the first scene that includes Bucky/Winter Soldier.
As for the Hulk and Antman inclusion in the Marvel / Coke promo - while we all adore Bucky and Cap to a level that is sometimes hard for others to understand, it is important for Marvel to include the other characters in things too. Given that they didn’t tie the promo to Civil War, I thought it actually turned out as a really fun, cute promo. I may have giggled a bit too hard at poor Hulk trying to open the can.
“Oh you poor, sad Hulk” is going to have to find its way into a fic somewhere ;)
I think it’s been too long since I watched The First Avenger. I should really remedy that. But really why stop there ...
Please reblog if you enjoy Marvel and you're a woman
I have been having an argument with a friend and he says that Marvel is for guys, please help me prove to him that there are lots of women who like Marvel!
MARVEL WOMEN ASSEMBLE
80615 strong so far!
WE BROKE 90 THOUSAND!!!
174,911 MARVEL WOMEN! WE ARE LEGION!
Over 200,000!
let’s face it the most fierce people in the marvel universe and fandom are women.
My daughter and I are bigger fans than my husband or son. @tiana-danced-with-bucky And my sister is a much bigger fan than her husband, but is teaching her son well. @jlstreck
People are kidding themselves if they think Marvel, comics, or any fandom is “off-limits” or “not for women” because we’re everywhere. Maybe it’s just been in recent years that being a geek/nerd and a woman isn’t the repulsive blow to your image and destruction of your social life it once was, but we’ve always been rebelliously lurking in geekdom.
Amen!
Here’s to the strong women May we know them May we be them May we raise them
Ladies of Marvel (part 1)
Welcome to the torture
Well, it’s not all torture, but the last several days of posts have been pretty heavy on the angst. Anyway, I’m still pretty new to this whole Tumblr thing, and I’m sitting a whopping 2 followers away from my “wow if I ever hit 75 that would be amazing” moment. For those that are following and enjoying, if you could please take a second to recommend my blog to to others, I would be infinitely grateful. For those that stumble across this, here’s a small variety of the things you’re likely to see across the gifs and edits I post with varying degrees of feels or snark. You’ll also get random Stucky / Avenger fanfics. Almost everything I post will be Sebastian Stan, Chris Evans, or Marvel related. I have an addiction.
