I just wrote the final words of American Punchline. Not gonna lie I’m totally emotional right now.
69 chapters, 108,776 words, 2 years of my life, a lot of laughter, and almost as many years later and the story I never anticipated is finally done.
I’m not even sure what to do now.

My husband and son just left for the kid’s karate class and to run errands. As they walked out the door my parting words were, “Make sure you’re back in time for the movie, because I will go without you.”
With under 7 hours to go, I am hydrating (per Seb’s instructions) and feeling like I’m a complete mess that will fall apart at the slightest provocation.
I need a hug.

Every time I see these I just want to a) give him a big hug and find a way to make it all okay and b) curl up in a ball and cry.
Of all the things HYDRA has done, the things they do to Bucky in this scene may be among their most unforgivable.
I hate this scene. It physically hurts to watch it. At the same time, it is one of the most memorable scenes from a Marvel movie because of the sheer depth of emotion portrayed by Sebastian Stan inside a 3 minute window where he speaks only 15 words.
That Seb says CA:CW is going to be better makes me fear for my survival. All indications point to imminent fangirl death.
It’s a wonder any of us came out of this scene alive. I just want to give him a hug.
