PSA: I got both shots of the vaccine against covid-19, and am now 95-percent immune! I'm still wearing my mask and all that, but I no longer have to worry about accidentally infecting my family members or the residents I care for.
But now for the PSA part: If you can, take a couple days off after your shots to recover, because they hurt.
I had a sore arm and neck and generally felt off for the first shot, but the second? Oh man. I got horrible chills, awful headaches, nausea and muscle pain. It only lasted a day but it was one awful day.
Anyway, happy to be vaccinated now, and am now passing on the word: Get your vaccine and take a day off afterward lol.
