While painting, I kept hearing a voice in my head that screamed “NO, NO, NO” over an over. I ignored it.

I’m dedicating this drawing as a thank you to a few lovely individuals - @onstraysod and @and-then-bam-cassiopeia who write me gothic star wars fic for my birthday, @charlesdances who shares my growing obsession with this villain and lastly to @ennaih who also writes me star wars fic for my birthday …and who is also directly to blame for giving me the idea of a blood splattered Krennic with a sword. 

Lastly a shout out to all the lovely fellow fans of this dangerous nerd in a white cape.

And from here, it looks pretty good to be Ben.

At the moment, it is, at the moment, it’s real good. Life is a lot sweeter, I think, than you can be aware of it at times. But you go through shit, everyone goes through shit, that’s the only thing that makes it rich in the way it does. Surviving it gives you a gratitude.

There seem to be three phases of my working life so far. Once upon a time they thought I was a sweet, wide-eyed boy that was just trying to figure out how to kiss the girl. Lots of comic relief and adolescent yearnings. Then they thought of me as what in Australia is know as a larrikin, which is kind of a dude, y’know? Very typical Australian man, with this particular set of characteristics. And now I get thought of more or less as the villain. That’s more or less how it’s gone, it’s been those three phases. And in between all that meta framing, there’s been a lot of different work.
