·3/21· Goldfish - Prompt Game -

Title : Goldfish Pairing Kim Yugyeom x Fem!reader Genre : Fluff Words : 1111 Summary : Your boyfriend tends to forget a lot of things. Today he forgot something very important and as you’re planning different ways to kill him he appears.

Prompts :

11. “Oh, how I wonder why you’re so annoying yet so attractive.” 20. “Between them and you, I’d choose you every single time.” 26. “Naked? Already?” 4. “Do you know how are hard it is to deal with you?”

Goldfish

Yugyeom doesn’t know how stupid he is.

He has a lot of qualities though, one of them being his incredibly sweet personality. He never gets mad, listens to your needs and cares about your well-being.

On the other hand, he is very clumsy, oblivious, loud and most importantly, has the memory of a goldfish.

You found this cute, you even defended him when Jinyoung threatened to kill him for forgetting his sweater – which Yugyeom had nicely stolen from him, at the theatre.

But today, today is different.

Yugyeom is not late, he is simply not coming. He isn’t coming even though it’s your anniversary, even though it’s not a surprise and you remember telling him to stop by at your flat to spend the evening with him.

He isn’t answering your calls, either.

Millennials - Part 7 -

Title: Millennials Genre: Fluff, romance Pairing: Kim Yugyeom x You Summary: Life is made of stages and each of them is a hard push on the back, forcing you to forge ahead. You’re facing your biggest crisis, and then there’s him, who lives from day to day. Of course he does, he is just a kid. Words: 3964 Warning: Small age difference. Yugyeom x Noona Reader.

- Part 7 -

Yugyeom doesn’t like how down he feels right now. He has been sulking for the whole night even since he came back home and doesn’t seem to know how to deal with it. He had a horrible evening and ran away from his friends, no able to keep his cool anymore.

He barely heard them calling him, didn’t even hear his phone ringing and most certainly couldn’t notice how shaky he was.
 It’s a new feeling.

He feels played with. Like someone actually lied to him and he was too stupid to believe them. He knows he is gullible, he knows he trusts too easily, but he cannot deal with the pain of being hurt by someone who is so dear to him.

Out of everyone, he thought you wouldn’t be able to do that.

And somehow he can’t believe it. He can’t believe you would meet with another guy behind his back. Yugyeom doesn’t think he is jealous and he isn’t. If the guy is just a friend, then it’s fine by him.

This is how he ends up feeling miserable.

- Part 6 -

There’s no such thing as sadness, Yugyeom thinks. Everything is good in life. The weather is perfect, everyone is beautiful, the food tastes better than usual and wow, when did his skin become so perfect?

He communicates with you via messages because you’re busy and honestly, he doesn’t mind. You never wait for too long before answering, you agree to whatever he proposes and most importantly, you’ll be seeing each other at work tonight.

Yugyeom had no idea he would ever be excited about going to work.

“Look, it’s our Don Juan.” Jackson is the first one to tease Yugyeom when he joins his friends the day after. They’re supposed to do some shopping and Bambam is currently trying to walk around, his arms full of extravagant clothing and jewellery.

“Bam! Can you hurry the fuck up! I can’t find anything interesting in that shop!” Jackson yells before turning around to find a cutely blinking Yugyeom. “Also, don’t leave me with the lovesick guy!” he finishes, his body leaning against a huge rack of belts.

“Do I look lovesick? Because I am. God, I’m so in love.” Yugyeom sighs dramatically but his face shows nothing but pure bliss.

He cannot believe what is happening in his life. Nothing seems real, it’s like a dream dangerously close to end until he pinches his hand. Yugyeom has no idea how to function anymore but does he even care? What is reality even? He doesn’t mind staring at the wall for hours if it means reminiscing the awesome kisses he gave you.

Part 5

It’s a beautiful week. Yugyeom doesn’t know how, but he managed to memorize two choreographies in the span of three hours. He flies from school to home, footsteps light and feathery as he can’t stop thinking about his date with you.

He never expected things to go this well.

Yugyeom remembers exactly how ecstatic he was, how hyper he felt and how he couldn’t stop himself from going to Bambam’s to yell his passion. Bambam had laughed, merely praising him but still wary enough to tell him not to expect too much.

He had laughed, barely listening to his friend as he was twirling around, face smug. The days following came like a blur and he couldn’t wait to go back to work so he could see you again.  Half of him was scared, the thought of you being cold still clear in his memory but he was mostly eager.

You could beat him up and he would offer his face for more.

He doesn’t try to contact you. He found himself typing a text a couple of times, but stopped before he could press send. Jinyoung warned him not to get carried away and make a fool of himself so he followed his friend’s advice.

Part IV

You don’t know how to deal with yourself. Most of the time, you know how to handle sticky situations, stress, or even yelling customers. So far you did great, dodging the bullets sent your way with little to no difficulty.

But that dress is too tight for a simple drink downtown.

“What, you don’t like it?” Naya enters your living-room with more clothes and toss them on the couch. “I think it suits you.”

You puff, hair flying away from your frustrated face. You’re not sure you can walk around wearing that. “Aren’t we overdoing it? It’s just-”

“It’s a date. You’re supposed to make yourself pretty for a date.” Your friend’s voice makes you groan louder, hands on your hips in front of the mirror.

It’s odd to consider this whole thing a date. Naya can’t stop nagging you about how pretty you have to be and how you should be kind and receptive to Yugyeom. She already teased the shit out of you for accepting, now she is going on and on about how you should apply makeup or how short your dress has to be.

Part III

You wouldn’t call yourself soft. You’re not moved easily, you find it hard to cry in front of a movie, you have no empathy for people who hurt you, yet you can’t hold Yugyeom’s gaze anymore.

It’s a horrible situation with too much embarrassment. Yugyeom seems to enjoy that situation though, because he brings you food every time he comes and doesn’t let you do anything unless you tell him you want to do it. For the past week, you took care of things every time you saw him. He had a bad limp but assured he could walk and work. He would insist on carrying the heaviest stuff, pretending it doesn’t hurt even when there’s too much pressure on his ankle.

For the past week, you’ve been scolding him because he wasn’t taking care of himself.

But now he seems to be doing okay as it wasn’t something serious, apparently.

You try to act like you don’t care and keep on living your life. You go to work with the same heavy steps and refuse to believe they get lighter with each smile Yugyeom sends your way. It’s difficult to concentrate or deal with customers for Yugyeom is always near, doing his best to be fast and do the most efficient work.

You let him do his thing. You merely smile back – but you still do when he smiles, you accept his food even though you know it’s not a good idea, you don’t question him when you see him stare at you.

Part II

“I swear I’ll make it up to you, just for tonight. Please, Y/N.” Your boss barely asks for you to come when you’re not supposed to work, but it seems his wife is close to get a divorce so he needs take her to the restaurant or something like that.

You stop listening because you don’t care, and you nod absentmindedly, greeting a customer and typing on the cash register. You don’t mind coming; you don’t pay attention to this job anymore. You’re used to feel dull by now, so another night here won’t hurt.

“Ah, I asked Yugyeom if he could come to help. There is going to be a concert not far so it’ll probably be busy.” Your boss adds, feeling proud for thinking about his employee.

To this, you stop typing, eyeing him weirdly. “I can manage on my own.” It’s crazy, out of all people, he only thought of Yugyeom. Out of all the damned employees. Your boss shrugs, his smile growing, “He’ll just be there If any weird people come and make a fuss.” He raises his arm and shows his bicep. “He will take care of unwanted customers.”

You laugh. You laugh so hard the customer blinks at you, his hand still waiting for the money you’re supposed to give him back. “Yugyeom? He will probably hide behind me so I can kick whoever tries to mess this place.”

Part I

Here it goes again. The two old ladies brought cakes from the bakery next door.

They’re not for you, though.

You sit back on your chair behind the counter, arms crossed over your chest. You hate Sundays.

Yugyeom is a student and takes the week-end shifts -along with three nights during the week, and since you’re one of the youngest employees, you must take these week-end shifts too. No one wants to work on a fine Sunday morning.

“Here, eat a lot! Such a young boy doing his best, you need to eat!” one of the lady almost forces the cake into Yugyeom’s mouth, and you hope he is going to choke on it.

“Thank you, grandma!” he says excitedly and one of the woman hits him lightly on the shoulder, while the other grabs another piece to feed him.

Disgusting.

“You can call me aunty! I’m not that old!” She giggles like a young girl and Yugyeom is supposed to answer, but the other lady stuffs his mouth some more and when he almost chokes – and it tears a triumphal smile off your face – she turns to you.

“You, get me water!” She orders and you start hitting the inside of your mouth with your tongue to prevent you from insulting the trio.

“No it’s fine!” But Yugyeom is quick to react, and you’re too mad to notice how embarrassed he is as he turns around to smile. “I’ll get it.” He walks away from the ladies who start frowning at you because you let the precious Kim Yugyeom get water by himself.

He goes back to the ladies and receives a bag full of more food, along with drinks and taps on the shoulders before the ladies approach you with annoyed faces.

Millennials - Teaser -

It’s a quiet evening. You don’t expect much from a Tuesday evening. People are busy working or preparing for the next day, and the grocery shop is filled with silence, along with your soft sighs. You’re deeply focused on your crossword, glasses hanging over the complex lines with concentration.

It’s a common evening.

This grocery shop is one of these that has everything everyone could need. It’s full of all sort of things, from toiletries to gardening tools. You’ve been working here ever since you stopped studying. It’s a personal choice, it’s nothing dramatic, just a pure will to stop with the educational system and be effective. You don’t care about the perfect job, happy with a salary and a way to live peacefully. It’s nothing big, but you’re not dissatisfied. You live well, have friends, good parents, a nice apartment. It’s casual but more than enough.

Your family accepted the idea, and it’s not like they had a choice. You went to them one day and did a full presentation on why you weren’t going to go to university and what your future will look like. You explained the importance of comfort and peacefulness in your life and told them everything they needed to know about how your career would look like. They took it well, insisting on the fact that they would help if you ever needed money.

So far you never had to ask.
