Mark has great veins. It’s a fact. 

You don’t think you’ll ever get tired of watching them. They form slender bumps under his creamy skin, tracing paths you love to caress. You sigh. How much more tempting does he have to be? Dating Mark is like a patience test on level insane. It takes a lot of willpower not to jump him whenever you can.

Mark knows it. He sees you whine and grab his face, obviously resisting when he smiles too wide or acts cute just to rile you up.

It’s not like it’s the only thing you adore about Mark. On top of being extremely delicate and handsome, he has a soft side you can’t live without. Some might call it extreme quietness, but you know better than refer to Mark as a quiet person. He does have a wild side which he only shows to his dearest people. In a sense, you understand him; he exposes himself when he is sure he can and you approve of that.

Summary : Mark is the Market’s Santa Claus and it’s in the middle of endless pictures with kids that he ends up finding the one person he longed for all his life.

“Are you going to give me the present I asked for, Santa?”

“I was so nice to mommy, please tell me I’ll get presents!”

“Did you receive my letter?”

Kids are cute. They ask for the weirdest things but still, their eyes shine with the brightest hope of a great present as they stop in front of a not so well disguised Mark.

And all he can do is nod, his voice not as convincing as he’d like it to be as he promises the kids they will get what they asked for.

Some parents look done with their kids, others play along, whispering soft thanking words because obviously, that did the trick.

Mark still doesn’t understand how anyone can believe he is the real Santa Claus but then again, kids are gullible.

When the line dies, he groans, stretching his sore limbs because he is way too thin to carry kids all day long on his lap.

Who knew they could be so heavy.

Thick as Thieves

You’re not an irrational person. Gone are the days you would freak out over the slightest things. You’re not fearless yet you appear as one, always finding explanations to the edgiest situations. Night is an unknown world for the greatest, stained with panic and unexplained theories.

Your mother is the leader of the cowards. She finds pleasure in imagining the worst-case scenarios for every basic moment of one’s life. A car can kill, a washing machine can explode, a dark alley is full of potential serial killers and a locked door is a magical barrier protecting everyone from harmful events.

You find her hilarious, with her fears and unpractical reasoning.

Living alone came as a silent agreement. A diploma and promising career pushed you to become independent, ignoring her pleas to keep you by her side. So far you still believe you were right, for nothing is as peaceful as an evening in front of television, binge-eating and half dressed.

Going to bed is all the better, you rest naked against sheets, the probability of your father barging in to wake you up close to zero and letting you purr against your pillow every morning.
