I WILL have the perfect Aurora doll!

So, you guys, after seeing all of the pictures of the 2013 Disney Classic Doll Collection, I decided to visit the ol' Disney store website (I'm a lazy piece of shit) to see if they had some of the "old" dolls on sale and alas! They did! Yay! As well as the wardrobe sets! So, I took that opportunity to buy Aurora's wardrobe, because 1.) I've always wanted to get it since her blue dress looks so perfect AND 2.) it was only $8. :3

Only problem is I don't have an Aurora doll to put the dress on... WHATEVER. I like how the 2013 doll looks, so I'll just bite my lip and wait. (I'm assuming the dolls will still be 12 inches? Whatever... Why wouldn't they be, right?)

The only flaw I see in the new Aurora doll is her pink dress. The top of it looks like Cinderella's pink dress! Whhhhy?

Not that that's a problem for me, since the sole reason for buying her blue dress NOW was so she could be displayed in it (AND just in case they decided to make a wardrobe set where the blue dress looked nothing like how it's supposed to look).

Anyway, I guess the new pink dress looks a LITTLE better than her old one...

Ennnaaahhh, I guess they're about the same amount of awful. They're both sparkly and have improvised features. (What's with that gold jewel thing? Whyyy). They're both DUMB.

The only pink Aurora dress I've seen, where I was like, "I wouldn't mind having that!" was this:

From the 10 piece Disney Classic Doll Collection set. I mean, all the dolls look better in that set, really. Or at least they're outfits (Ariel's fin looks phenomenal!). Aurora's hair is shit, but the dress is great! It looks EXACTLY the way it's supposed to look.

Too bad I'm a sane person and I refuse to buy the $100 set just because I want to have a pink Aurora dress that looks accurate to the movie, even though I hate the pink dress in the first place..... Yup... I'm sane... I swear. >_>

Bah! I don't really know what the point of this post was... I just felt like rambling about nothing! Hooray for procrastination! (Damn, you, summer classes!)

Whatever. Once I have my perfect Aurora doll, it will be happy times. ^_^

EDIT: So, I guess the Disney store website pictures the wrong Aurora doll for the 10 piece Disney Classic Doll Collection set. The picture above is actually of the 17" singing Aurora doll. BUT, from browsing through fellow tumblrer's doll collection, Aurora does come wearing the perfect pink dress... and her hair is beautimous! ^_^

DAY 14 Favorite villain

I love, love, love Maleficent and I also love Mother Gothel.

Maleficent Okay, how can you not love her? She's the epitome of evil! And she's gorge. She's got the horn thing goin' on, the dragon thing, the crow thing. She's great.

Mother Gothel She's hilarious! She's kinda like the typical evil "step-mom" type, but she's really just the crazy, vain, lady that steals children with magic glowing hair-type. Love her.

I kinda, sorta liked these until I saw this one that has ANASTASIA in it. >:( *sigh*

EDIT: I want to clarify that I absolutely LOVE Anastasia. I have nothing against her or any other non-Disney princess/heroine. I just hate when people are stupids and say she's Disney. That is all. :)

DAY 7 Favorite Castle

Beast's castle - Beauty and the Beast Pfft, how can anyone pick anything other than the Beast's castle? It's fuckin' badass! AND we are exposed to more of this castle than anyone else's! We've seen the dungeon or cellar or whatever. We've seen the ballroom, the dining room, the kitchen, balconies, library, beast's room, belle's room, the foyer, we even get to see the detailed decoration outside!

Cogsworth even gives us a little history lesson on the architecture of the castle, when he and Lumiere are giving Belle the tour. "As you can see, the pseudo-façade was stripped away to reveal the minimalist Rococo design. Note the unusual inverted vaulted ceilings. This is yet another example of the late neoclassic Baroque period. And, as I always say, "If it's not Baroque, don't fix it!""

It's brilliant.
