Mister Rogers Farewell (x)
I legit just teared up a little. I needed this today.
imo we need to swap the phrase “no one will love you until you love yourself” with something to the effect of “if you dnt recognize your own value, you’re a lot more likely to put up with mistreatment that you dnt deserve”
it’s not rly a matter of self-love as much as it is being able to stand up for yrself when you need to, and even though the latter is part of that process, it’s still not the same thing
And “no one will love you until you love yourself” doesn’t really do anything to help people love themselves. Mostly it just makes them feel worthless and maybe hate themselves more.
this has always sounded to me like “no one loves you because you don’t love yourself” and seriously when you’re already depressed you sure as shit don’t need that extra layer of guilt and self-loathing built into all the “““advice””” people try to give you
I kind of really needed this…
muslim members of the lgbt+ community:
you’re wonderful, you’re strong, you’re inspiring, and you’re valid. your religion and your sexuality and/or gender identity are amazing parts of your identity; they’re part of what makes you YOU.
i’m so proud of you for being yourself because, hey, you’re perfect just the way you are– don’t forget that!!
i love and support you all <3.
I love you @ all of my Muslim followers
This is a sincere, worrisome question
Reblog if you would date a trans person. I’m honestly so scared that no one will ever love me because I’m trans. It’s a scary thought
I hope all my Muslim followers are safe and loved; what’s happening in the USA right now is an absolute crime and not a single part of you has deserved it
Ok so within the next few months or so there will be alot of diet propaganda and I want you to stay safe and take care and be gentle on yourself. You don’t need to lose weight to be valued or loved. You are beautiful just the way you are.
Life for chronically ill people is hard. Stop and pause and breathe. It’s okay. You are okay. It’s okay to be angry or sad or bitter.
Know you’re not alone. You are loved. You are worthy. Your illness is not you, even if it affects you: you are strong, brave, and deserve good things.
You are ethereal.
You are so bright and new.
You are inspiring.
you are breathtaking
You are irreplaceable
you are magic
You are important!
You are wonderful
You are eternal
