honestly yikes @ all the non-aces talking shit on aspecs for “oversharing” and/or “overcomplicating” their sexualities. there’s such deep comfort in labels and it hurts when people insist you give that up right after finding it. sure, i can “just say i’m asexual” but that wouldn’t even come close to the level of accuracy and with it reassurance that “autochorissexual” holds. if your sexuality is a simple thing for you in any way, shape or form, i’m happy for you but it doesn’t mean everyone’s is like that. let us fucking live and put whatever “overcomplicated” labels on our blogs on the fucking internet if that makes it easier.
#I think part of this people acting like blogging isn't supposed to be a really personal thing#like it was intended to be an online journaling system originally#but people act like we're just announcing these personal things to strangers on the street#you have to go *looking* for people's blogs & into tags where people are talking about this stuff#that's not *public*#that's not *oversharing*#that's like walking into any sort of themed club and telling people they're '''oversharing'''' for talking about the theme of the club#and yeah we all have simplified versions of our identities to tell people we're not out to or as short hand#the shortest being just 'queer' ofc#but when we're in spaces where these identities are actually the topic then we get into the details#much less *on our own blogs*#do these people walk into other people's houses and tell them they're ''''''oversharing'''''''' for having childhood pictures on the wall???#anyway#aphobia#acephobia#arophobia#identity policing#tag talking#bigotry within the queer community
