Last in the series of illustrations for the Llewellyn Worldwide 2014 Astrology Calendar! :D

Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21. Mutable Fire sign. Colors: Deep purple, burgundy and deep red. Outgoing, athletic, curious, spiritual, confident, high spirited, restless. Often are wanderers, truth-seekers, believers, at least metaphorically. Have universal concerns and strong beliefs and want to save the world. That said, they are also very fun-loving, gregarious, and great to be around. Ruled by Jupiter and typically associated with an archer, so I’ve depicted the sign as an archer high up on a hill, shooting fire into the sky. (I guess she’s on Ganymede or something since Jupiter is that big in the sky. XD )

I want to give very special thanks to Lindsey Carmichael, Olympic Bronze medalist archer, who posed for me for this sign and helped me out immensely with getting the archery parts to look halfway accurate (which I would have completely failed at without her help). She is an amazing and super-nice person, and I am incredibly honored that I got to work with her. Thanks, Lindsey!! <3 (and thank you for being so patient with me, haha)
