As some of you know, BSBs Curly and Sora (along with areyoutryingtodeduceme) are driving 10,000 miles this summer from London to Ulan Ude, Russia for charity. It’s called The Mongol Rally, and you can learn all about their team, The Nerdventurists, at their website. They’re supporting Cool Earth, which protects rainforests, and The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America.

As a way to raise funds for the trip and charities, Curly has started making fandom candles (FANDLES!) and she’s started a Sherlock Holmes line. So far there’s just Holmes, Watson, and Molly, but more are planned and will be rolling out throughout the month.

everybody and their mother has their own sorting headcanon, and that’s pretty awesome — these are just what I like to imagine! I’d also like to see Sherlock written as a Muggleborn sometime, too. (also on deviantart)

And that’s the moment Sherlock realized how much he underestimated Molly Hooper.

This scene breaks my heart every time.

God, this. If Sherlock's the head and John's the heart, Molly's the conscience. Molly is the one who reads your emotions and understands you without needing to do any fancy deductions. Sherlock will ferret out your secrets, John will heal your body, and Molly will hand you a cup of tea with a small smile and a quiet, "I know. It's going to be okay." Sherlock is logic, John is bravery, and Molly is compassion. There it is, the Golden Trio archetypes a la Star Trek, Harry Potter, and many others, I'm sure.

The One Person that Mattered the Most

Based on the classic Mucha poster Zodiac, Grand Bazar and Nouvelles Galleries. Colored in Coral Painter. All of the type is names for the structures of the skull. Even the curling white decorative lines at the bottom are actually type (though it’s hard to see at this size). If all goes well, I’ll do posters for other Sherlock characters as well, each in the style of a classic art nouveau poster.
