He’s lost his hat only ONCE
First movie, when the dwarves fall into Bilbo’s house, his hat falls off for a few seconds

TOLKIEN WEEK | Day 9 ↳ Favorite minor character: Bofur
Endearing and likable, Bofur has a disastrous tendency to state the obvious and blurt out things without thinking. With a love of music and a fine singing voice, Bofur delights in good food and good company and is unfailingly optimistic. Though not especially brave, he will do his best to help those in need, especially those he counts as friends.

I’ve been free from homework all break, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and paint all the dwarves! I’ll be putting them up periodically in the order I painted them.
First round: Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur.

“He has maybe a softer side than a lot of the other dwarves, and he’s prepared to show that. In the first film he befriends the Hobbit, Bilbo, he looks out for him a bit and he looks after him. He cares about him. I think Bofur’s a mixture of the rough, the honest, but also the caring. Bofur’s overall motive is much simpler than the rest of the dwarves. I don’t think he’s necessarily interested in the noble pursuit of reclaiming their lost land. I think he and his kin just fancy a bit of fun, a bit of a scrap. He’s an optimistic dwarf. He has a pretty good take on life.”

Fall Fashion!
I was walking around my local mall last weekend, and fell in love with all the snugly fall/winter clothing. Thought I’d try drawing my boys hanging out being all fashionable and cozy. I like that Bilbo and Bofur are in the middle of some discussion and Thorin is just stuck in the middle and happy to have his coffee in one hand and a cute hobbit in the other.
