"I am the Guardian of the Hall of Wizards!"

The Guardian of the Magic, also known as the Guardian of the Hall of Wizards, is a recurring character in Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders, voiced by Bob Kaliban.

The Guardian was once a servant #genie of ancient #wizards and guarded their headquarters located inside the remote Wizard’s Peak. Notes from the “Wizard’s Peak” storyboard reference the character to #Chernabog from Disney’s #Fantasia in his evil form and to the overenthusiastic impression of Jim Carrey when he serves the dweasels.

Lady Kale’s dweasel minions manage to convince him they are actually wizards and he turns into a non-threatening looking genie similar to the one from Disney’s #Aladdin and starts obeying their silly wishes, increasingly annoyed until eventually figuring out they are here only to steal a Crown Jewel and chases after them. “Make it rain potato chips!”

In the second season, during a battle he takes form of many creatures and objects, including an AT-AT from Star Wars.

In short, the Guardian character brought a dynamic range of comedy and pop culture references to #jewelriders.
