My femininity book comes out today!

It's time we reclaim our femininity, ladies!

Got a 1 star review for "Homeschooling on a Budget," because I'm Pagan.

I was also denied a booth at the great Homeschool Conventions for it as well (though they won't tell me directly).

It's so funny how both the right and left attack anyone who doesn't fit their box. Conservatives are much more diverse than they get credit for. We have people from all walks of life out there supporting traditional values, but if we attack each other like the left does with cancel culture, then we won't get any further.

I've never hidden my faith, nor have I ever suggested homeschooling parents use my belief system in their teaching practices. because I know every family is different and faith is a personal journey.

Thankfully, the more I write the more I hear from people who are sick of division. That's why I keep going. because no matter what hate extremists try to spread people are just people; and most of them are full of love and understanding.

Writing the magic

I'm working on my latest project and found myself scared. I can sit and pound out the philosophy behind the meditations and practices, but when it's time to list out the actual activities it takes so much out of me.

One of the main themes in this new book is motion and the power of movement. So, of course, I got up and walked circles around the room to build energy and give in to whatever needs to come out.

It always offers some kind of power, but when I did this today, it was like being struck by lightening (in a good way). I could feel everything electrified. Every sensation, every reality was like a rocket exploding and shooting outward. My body vibrated with more goosebumps than ever.

I was able to pound through more work when I returned to my desk, but now I'm just sitting here like a blade of grass after the storm, wondering what it all means and when I'll feel that rush of understanding and heightened consciousness again. It's definitely time for some grounding.

Maybe that's why I'm posting this.

Compassion & Reasoning

Never let extremists push you away from compassion and reasoning toward everyone. 

If they change you, they’ve won. 

I’ve been threatened (and even harmed) enough to warrant holding bias against pretty much every group of people who are not of my beliefs, BUT the support and love I receive from most people overrules them and reminds me that no matter what anyone says or does to me, my life will be measured by my actions and reactions.

If I give extremists the emotional response they so crave I become part of the problem. 

Never let extremists push you away from compassion and reasoning toward everyone.

It’s not everyday you wake up and find out your book won another award, but today is that day for me. I’m just glad I can spread some love in this world.
