What is intelligence?
I have met some of the dumbest intellectuals and the smartest imbeciles.
I've also been both

“It is not easy for a man to begin to think; but once he has begun he will never leave off. Once a thinker, always a thinker, and the understanding once practised in reflection will never rest.”

The Marxists hate when you even say the word homeschool.
They take offense to the historical and modern day successes which display that homeschoolers are more self-reliant and intelligent than government educated children.
Why?
Because they've gone all in for the totalitarian system.
So go ahead, make them cry some more. Get educated and homeschool your kids with all the wonderful resources I packed into this book.
It's the institutionalization of information.
When we pretend that only "experts" are knowledgeable, we elevate academians above common farmers even though they would starve to death without those who know how to grow their own food.
There's nothing more terrifying than the state of public education system right now.
If you want you kids to last well beyond Halloween, with independent thought and intelligible factual information, take the reins and lead with all the great free and affordable resources listed and discussed in my book.
Just signed a contract with Definace Press to traditionally publish my new book, "Homeschooling on a Budget!"
Wait, so removing reading requirements and teaching that math is "racist" DOESN'T make students smarter? Who knew?~
I know a lot of people get duped by the guise of "anti-racism" but it only hurt minorities more to assume they are "too stupid" to learn algebra. It's more racist than the most racist racists of my grandfather's childhood.
Boys who talk late often catch up to girls when they decide.
And now for some good news.
Homeschooling has doubled overall. More so for black students. People are taking control of their education and building better lesson plans that cater to individualized learning instead of “the cookie cutter approach.”
I’ve been a homeschooling mother for about 10 years now but I learned so much from this interview.
Please, if you or anyone you know is considering homeschooling, read this article and contact local groups to get a feel for it.
I research for a living.
The amount of times some google baby has told me to, “do your research” because they’re ignorant of other sources and seem to think that everyone isn’t as smart as them is more than I can count.
Don’t let anyone make you feel as if you’re not smart enough just because they don’t know how to properly research. People who do don’t run around screaming, “do your research.” Knowledgeable individuals don’t belittle others to feel smarter, they just keep working and let their work speak for itself.

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.”

What you read is almost as important as making sure you read.
It took a long time to teach my brain to calm the hell down and sit still enough to devour a book. I used to get in trouble at home and school all the time because I have rapid thought, which can be a good thing when controlled, but uncontrolled it’s hard to sort out your own mind.
My husband is a slow reader and he feels ashamed of it. I keep offering him encouragement because it doesn’t matter how fast you read, the effort you put forth when allowing someone else’s words to wash over you is enough. Reading is not a race. It is not meant to cause anxiety or shame anyone.
Take your time. I often make myself slow down so I can savor a beloved story. I remember reading speed tests in school and I abhor this practice. I really hope they’ve removed such a useless scale. Reading is always more fun when you can enjoy a book at your own pace.
