“Interview with Jennifer Lawrence, the new face of makeup Dior Addict”

Talent and spontaneity: are two of qualities of Jennifer Lawrence, born in Kentucky twenty-five years ago. It stood out in the movie The Hunger Games, the interpretation that has "forced" her to hard training including even archery, climbing, parkour and yoga. And at only 22 years she has already won the Academy Award (she is the youngest in history to have received three nomination) for Best Actress for “Silver Linings Playbook”. We will see her soon again in the cinema in the last part of the trilogy, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2” , and in the biopic “Joy”, with Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. But not only on the big screen, because Jen (her nickname) will wear the allure of new muse of “Maison Dior” to speak about “Dior Addict Lipstick”.
Become the face of “Dior Addict” means personify youth, sensuality and self-discovery. How did you approach this new role?
I immediately felt a strong attraction for Dior Addict and I hope this will happen to the other. I approached this collaboration with great professionalism, as I have always done with everything else. Even if it is not difficult to be authentic and honest with these products. I feel myself. And I'm happy to be part of this fresh and innovative experience.
Do you care about your appearance? I care more than I'd like... as all the girls. I still believe that we are born with certain traits and quality and that it is important to enhance and accept ourselves. Every time that in my head appears the idea to change something about myself, I think about it, and then I ask myself if it's really what I want. Do you really want to give up a glass of wine at dinner? Or do not you eat pasta and carbohydrates after four in the afternoon? Do you really want that your job affects your appearance? It would be cool also to have one size smaller, but I want to keep my fourth peacefully and continue eating. I'm happy.
Your career seems to border on perfection. You have alternated naturally big box-office hits and independent works and minor recall. Do you feel the need of both these worlds to find a balance?
I agreed to join the cast of The Hunger Games for the same reason I agreed to play the Silver Linings Playbook and all other films, indie or artistic. What attracts me first of all is the character. I love the role I play, the stories I tell. I am passionate and with all my "Jennifer" I have created a bond , regardless of the weight of the character, the cachet, the screenplay.
What do you think about your generation?
I think it's important to have opinions, and I think we showed that we have. Even if I am not very involved in social media, these have played an important role in giving voice to my generation, which has not happened for some time. No matter who you are or where you work, if you have an idea, a point of view, you can take them out and make them feel to the world. If you let the politicians take decisions without your voice heard, you have no excuses.
Is an advantage to be very sure of themselves? And is a beauty sign?
Absolutely. I think it is the key of the sensuality and the most authentic beauty. In people who like themselves there is always something true, that does not go unnoticed.
How do you prepare for a red carpet or a public meeting?
For an important event like a red carpet, you have to be patient. Hair stylist and make-up artist must have the necessary time. My father jokingly calls it "pit stop", as the cars of Formula One do.
Dior Addict: a playful moment and an experience that women can share as something special ...
If it makes you feel good, it improves your appearance and everything else. You must not underestimate the thrill that it gives you to use a brand historical and glamorous as Dior. I like to color the lips, but I have always the fear of exaggeration, they can stain. I love the shade of red lip gloss brilliant colors, but in a natural way and for someone like me, messy and distracted, it's great because it doesn’t drool, and - point in its favor - easy to spread. The things I noticed Dior Addict is the convenience and immediacy.

“Nobody can stay beloved forever, I never believed it, the whole time. I was like, just wait: People are going to get sick of me. My picture is everywhere, my interviews are everywhere; I’m way too annoying because I get on red carpets and I’m really hyper, most likely because I’ve been drinking, and I can’t not photo-bomb somebody if it’s a good opportunity. But it’s something I always tell myself: ‘You need to calm the f— down. You don’t want to constantly be a GIF.’”

“I’m trying to do the right thing, waving to fans, trying to be nice, and there’s a traffic cone. The second I hit it, I was laughing, but on the inside I was like, ‘You’re f*cked. They’re totally going to think this is an act…’But trust me if I was going to plan it, I would have done it at the Golden Globes or the SAGs. I would have never done it at two Oscars in a row. I watch Homeland – I’m craftier than that!”
