Yes indeed (I’m gonna try to keep this short, and I’m stupid proud of that graphic up there).
Five years ago, I was in eighth grade, dreading the start of high school and still drawing on iPad apps. I had fallen for One Direction, anticipated the mediocre film adaptation of The Mortal Instruments to be released that August, and was a year away from subscribing to Netflix—and effectively entering a thousand fandoms at once.
Little did I know that there were thousands of strangers who would appreciate my sense of humor and my artwork, and propel this to be a platform bigger than I ever imagined.
The highlights:
- As of right now, I have nearly 19,500 followers and cumulative a 62,000 page views.
- I’ve had a post break 400,000 notes… and one very nearly at 750,000.
- One of my pieces of fan art for Sherlock, from the fateful year 2015, has drawn 150,000 notes.
- I opened my art store(s) in 2015, where people all over the world have purchased items bearing my work.
- My artwork for series like The Shadowhunter Chronicles and Throne of Glass has been seen and acknowledged by the authors (special thank you to @cassandraclare for having reblogged something like six or seven of my pieces over the years).
- When Rick Riordan responded to a screenshot of one of my text posts on Twitter and shaded me into the next century (it was fantastic).
Look, the blog has been a huge part of my adolescent life, mostly for the better. It has served as a creative and emotional outlet, and occasionally even allowed me to communicate with some wonderful people. I have to thank some of my original followers/all-time loves:

I plan to do a special art giveaway at some point this year to celebrate (when college isn’t happening)!
Anyways. I love you all and appreciate you so much. This blog has helped shape who I am today. I don’t currently have plans to smite it—too many more books to read.
Much love (and many thanks),
- Liz.xx
I can’t believe I’m only seeing this now. I have literal tears in my eyes :’’)
You were one of the first blogs I ever followed back in 2013 and I still remember to this day visiting your blog on a daily basis, even before I created an account on tumblr. This brings back so many good memories... Your blog played a big part in my motivation to create my own tumblr and inspire me in my own edits and gifs afterwards. The TSC fandom has been and will forever be in my heart, even if I drifted a bit away from it today. It’s also the case for my jemsdrug blog in general actually, I don’t have the heart to delete it. And I don’t regret keeping it to see stuff like this today.
Liz, I hope wherever you are at the moment, I hope that you are happy and healthy and never forget how amazing and inspiring your art is! Thank you so much, this made my day ♥
