I’ve been playing with paint tool sai for couple of days. I haven’t really used it before, so I feel like an infant. But I did this today and I kinda like it.
Davejane, but like, gemstuck.
Dave as an abused gem who is super nervous about fusing with anybody and stout warlady jane who though unsure how exactly to handle a case like dave’s is 1000 percent willing to try.
They sleepfuse into Purpurite/Lavenderite, the first time they fuse together no less, and of course they’re freaked out at first (not helped in the slightest by friends being all like what were YOU up to last night huh?? wink wink nudge nudge). But they’re both like eww no (after a quick round of ok YOU were asleep and I was asleep so who’s piloting the fusion?) and though dave’s still freaking out because fusion, Jane’s like hey, buddy, it’s ok! I mean you obviously like me but I also really like you so why not just go with this fusion thing?
Eventually it gets to the point where they’ll sleepfuse and wake up as purpurite and be like ‘aight’ and go about their day until they unfuse. Friends snicker when they find good ol’ purpurite grabbing the morning aj instead of dave, but on the inside they’re all a bit jealous.
Purpurite talks to themself a LOT, constantly in some monologue between their constituent parts.

It’s that time of night where my contacts no longer work. I’m going to bed, have this davejane.

Davejane > work. Also really hot older Dave is my new modus operandi.
One last piece of art before I pack up and ship off to Pitt! I don't know when I'll get the chance for proper digital art so I figured I'd get some done now. I'm hoping to kind of steer myself away from tumblr because I know it's not to be trifled with as far as procrastination is concerned. So we'll see.
Trickster Janey and her Strider harem suggested by superethanworld (he implied separate but I'm lazy and a threesome makes more sense for tricksters), for whom we can consider this post a promo because he always seems to lose followers when he asks for promos. May your fortune change, buddy!
As a note about Dave's trickster design: we're going for the obvious, apple juice. I tried to stick to apple theme, which worked just as well because it mirror's dirk's design. I think his symbol would turn into a pie with a slice out of it maybe??
Additionally I think the shades have the same protection powers as always; I don't think dave would be full out gone. He'd just be a lot more receptive to going along with John's hot mom in whatever escapades she'd plan.

Fun fact: My favorite tool is the marker with 100 persistence and 100 blending. I love pushing colors around, it looks so clean afterward!
Dave couldn't move even if he wanted to because Jane's actually got him pinned.
I wasn't particularly fond of how shittily this image got treated by dumblr yesterday when I posted that ficlet. So have the big version.
