This year’s @pornalotfest has begun! >_> “Enemies to Lovers” is the prompt for the 1st Bonus Challenge (see all submissions) and well, um… I went there, yep. Creeped myself out! I enjoyed drawing the more wee Colin from S2, plus feathers are fun, but still… eek! I’d never have expected to draw Merlin/Cedric(Cornelius Sigan), but expect me to draw more unexpected (and filthier) things for this fest in the coming weeks… You’ve been warned, lol.

It’s not the first time Merlin’s prepared a poultice for Arthur. The Prince doesn’t normally bother getting treated for a few measly cuts and bruises, but… when he knows Gaius is away… ;)

Ahhh, I can finally check one prize off my art giveaway from so many months ago… This is for the dear @thatibuiltspecial, who won an animated piece! I included a larger static version for a better look at details… I wish Tumblr’s gif size limit would increase some more, bah. Well the wonderful request was: a picture of Merlin and Arthur. I would like Merlin to be busy with something, maybe working, crushing herbs maybe or reading and Arthur behind him with his arms around him and his chin on his shoulder looking to see what he is doing. It would be lovely if it could be all soft and gentle.”  I hope you enjoy how I decided to bring this scene to life! With my rudimentary animation skills, lol… I had fun!

I already do free sketch requests once in a while, so for these prizes I wanted to be generous… as in, beyond a sketch.

1st PLACE: A one-page comic! (Maybe a scene in your head, or from your favourite fic? Nothing I can’t accomplish within several panels, though, please…)

2nd PLACE: A finished piece - with animated elements! (I will make sure this works as a static image too in case you want it printable. The animation won’t be complicated. Examples HERE!)  

3rd PLACE: A finished piece. (By “finished” I mean it’ll have refined details and be pretty rendered in terms of light and shadow. It’ll be coloured unless I decide something monotone is more fitting.)

So I bet Merlin would have appreciated a shower for some serious angsting… or, okay, I only realized how suggestive this composition might be when I added his golden glowy eyes (I think you know why), so it’s up to you what he’s doing with his hidden arm. Here’s a much warmer piece compared to my wintry stuff that’s been going around. Based on an old request from @alessariel (I just loved the idea of them under a tree!) and I hope it brings some happy feels to the fandom! Thanks to everyone who left me ideas earlier - as to what Merlin should be reading. I got a few suggestions for The Odyssey, and I do think that would be something Arthur would like to hear… especially if read aloud by Merlin, eh? Well I experimented with some lighting and background effects… would love some thoughts. This is definitely more detailed than planned, but I tend to get carried away while I’m on holiday! (Hope everyone’s enjoying theirs!)

Arthur Arisen

Merlin had sworn to serve his King until the day he dies… and so the immortal sorcerer waited. Over a thousand years pass, feeling like an eternity, before… at last… Arthur returns from Avalon. 

I finished this piece about a month ago for the Merlin Art Fest and am so excited to finally share it here personally! The prompt was “hug” so I thought a post 5x13 reunion scene would be just perfect to portray… Well, when Lancelot came back from the dead, he didn’t have anything on! Why should Arthur? I wasn’t just too lazy to paint his armour… Anyway, the squick for this prompt was “girly men”, so why not show off some bare muscle along with Merlin’s scruffiness? Hope you enjoy! ^^

I figure our fandom can never have enough Merthur fluff for the holidays… A little gift to my followers and fellow fans! Thank you friends! XOXO

Well here’s my second piece for the head-canon I have that Leon was an older brother sort of figure to Arthur… You can check out my first piece here! This scene is perhaps 5 years since the previous. Here is my artwork for this year’s After Camlann Big Bang! I said in my last post that I’d (maybe) do another couple pieces before sharing on tumblr, but…nevermind! ;) Well, I don’t normally do this many scenes, but the wonderful writing really inspired me! It was so hard to choose what to illustrate… Please check out the fic here! More detailed notes (and links) relating to my art can be found here. Comments/reviews will make us smile! :D

For once, Merlin was early in preparing Arthur’s meal. He planned to set the table and leave before the prince returned from training. Arthur had been acting like a moody child as of late and Merlin was keen to avoid him… but fate seemed against it! While reaching for the wine jug, his elbow knocked over the bowl of thick stew. Merlin cringed as it sloshed all over Arthur’s favourite chair, along with the expensive furs that draped it… Well, a vigorous cleaning spell might deal with that, but he would have to go down to the kitchens for another bowl! The prat would be back soon, damn! Merlin cursed himself for not having stopped time like he had with the bucket in front of Gaius. Oh, if only he could… go back in time? Just a minute or so… It couldn’t be that hard…

He is beautifull!
