katelyn who was always sick as a kid or had some sort of medical issue that made her constantly in the hospital as kid

and her doctors meant so much to her as a child which is why she wants to go into paediatrics because she wants to be that person for another child with a debilitating illness

my katelyn (and kateaaron) headcanons <3

  • shes SUPER close with her dad (and her family in general but especially her dad)
  • aaron likes when she has her hair up because he doesn't have to be afraid of pulling it (or tasting it) when they kiss
  • she started gymnastics when she was around four, and cheerleading when she was eight or so
  • her dad's family is polish and her mother and elder sister are both deaf so she grew up trilingual
  • she also knows a little bit of Spanish and does Duolingo french
  • would fist fight a polar bear over a blueberry pop tart
  • bisexual queen with a preference for men (specifically short blonds who look exhausted constantly)
  • her and aaron do movie nights their third year and it almost always results in Aaron falling asleep while getting his hair played with
  • aaron absolutely adores her. he is SO soft for her and she thinks its super cute
  • coffee dates with Aaron are the only parts of her days (typically Tuesdays and Thursdays) where she doesnt feel the need to be the therapist for anyone else
  • not to say her and Aaron don't talk about hard shit! they do! but she spends a lot of her life taking care of others and ensuring they're okay that her and Aaron make it a point to have that time as sacred for them. they always try and leave their issues behind for those dates so they can just enjoy one anothers company
  • she and Aaron "time out" their fights sometimes (though they RARELY fight) if one of them gets good gossip
  • katelyn Mackenzie is THE gossip ever at psu
  • shes the cool aunt! she spoils the hell out of her nieces and nephews and Aaron frequently has to remind her that she is a college student and cannot afford to blow her entire bank account in the baby and toddlers section of every shop they go in
  • youngest daughter all the way <3
  • she loves trivia! she knows so many random facts and stupid little random things about history but genuinely couldn't tell you all fifty states if her life was on the line
  • she minored in history
  • she and kevin actually get on really well later on after the Events because of a history project that they're grouped on
  • she makes birthday cakes for fictional characters AND all her friends birthdays
  • she makes one for aaron and a separate one for Andrew when she and Aaron get their own home and its kind of like a bridge in her and Andrews relationship
