The Love We Deserve: Arrow 2x06 Review (Keep Your Enemies Closer)

This is the episode I knew the writers were going THERE with Olicity. I wasn’t sure about endgame. I certainly did not know how Oliver and Felicity’s story would unfold, but “Keep Your Enemies Closer” confirmed we were in this, fam. We were in this all the way.

Love Saved the City: Arrow 8x10 Review Part 2 (Fadeout)

 Diggle and the Flashbacks

“Fadeout” is centered on John Diggle and his struggle to let Oliver go. David Ramsey was given the storyline shaft A LOT in this show, so I was happy they brought the focus back to John in the final hour. Better late than never. David deserves it.

I just did eleven pages on the impact Oliver’s death has on Felicity, but it is a significant loss for John too. We can’t underplay the importance of Diggle and Oliver’s relationship. It is a cornerstone of Arrow. 

The Long Goodbye: Arrow 8x07 Review (Purgatory)

We have been marching slowly and steadily to Oliver’s death since he made the deal with the Monitor to save Barry and Kara. 

I dispute the wisdom and necessity of that decision, but it is what it is. Now that Oliver has accepted his fate there’s only one thing he has left to do - say goodbye.

 I pretty much cried my entire way through this episode.

Strength: Arrow 8x05 Review (Prochnost)

We’re headed back to Russia for some Queen family vacation fun, except their version of “fun” is kidnappings and fight clubs.

Infinite Love: Arrow 8x02 Review (Welcome to Hong Kong)

Sooo… it seems not every episode is going to be stellar in the final season. I was a little bored during “Welcome to Hong Kong.” It’s a lot of set up for Crisis and I was a little confused by plot. It’s possible I was confused by plot because I wasn’t paying attention to the plot. I replayed Oliver putting his wedding ring back on over and over again instead. I feel it was a valid life choice.

There’s also a lot of L*urel, 

but it’s cool because we’re gonna yell about her and that’s always fun.

I am so friggin excited about this casting news. I’ve been dying to find out who is playing JJ Diggle and boy did the casting director nail it. Charlie looks like Diggle and Lyla’s son. 

There is a lot of hotness happening here with the Diggle sons. 

AND I AM HERE FOR IT. This is a win win love triangle and I WILL HAVE IT. I speak it into existence (and the show).

BUT THE BOUQUET!!! I love when foreshadowing comes true on this show (as it always does). One of the best aspects of Arrow is they follow through on what they promise.
