……Okay if you insist for the record I love BOTH Pokemon and Digimon and the Pokemon games are better but this is about the creature and shows. but I’ll say the 3 main reasons why I like Digimon better *cracks fingers*
1) You don’t have to FORCE your Digimon to like you
they already have formed a bond with you and will protect you to the end. Hell you can have full conversations with your Digimon. Besides your starters you get Pokemon by BEATING, DAMAGING, AND INJURING THEM to the point they cannot fight back
and then you catch them and force them to be yours so you can make them fight like Michael Vick.
2) Digimon dont stay transformed: When a pokemon evolves unless its a Mega Evolution they are stuck like that. What if I prefer Charmander over Charmeleon huh lol But when Digimon Digivolve they can go to whatever form and stay in it for as long as they have energy.

3) You can fuse with your Digimon and get in on the Action: For pokemon you are telling them to attack, for digimon they do it on their own and when its tough you could be like. Hey lemme get in on the action.
and Kickass as True Partners.
I’m gonna add to this list.
4) Digimon can have more than one digivolution tree, and thus allows for much more customization than pokemon. Where as Bulbasaur will always evolve into Ivysaur (or you could stop him) Greymon can evolve into Skullgreymon, Metalgreymon (virus) or Metalgreymon (vaccine) all of which are more or less different digimon (less so between the mteal greymons). Furthermore, digimon can DNA digivolve with each other. So you can have Exveemon DNA digivolve into Dinobeemon or Palindramon both of which have (also) separate digivolution trees. 5) Digimon can talk. I’m sorry but something I really dislike about pokemon is that they can only say their own names. It’s nothing against the series or the games but I really like that digimon can convey their own feelings and thoughts and ideas.
6) Digimon, when killed, revert to an egg form to be reborn. Pokemon either faint or die (the pokemon tower in Lavender Town) and when it happens in Digimon it’s a huge big deal so it makes Tamers take care of their Digimon instead of mindlessly fighting.
7) The plot of most of the Digimon series is to save the digital world, and because of that the fighting is justified. In pokemon, the fighting and arguably torture of pokemon is only to amuse people (literally to get badges for the trainer or money or contests). One problem I really have with pokemon is that I feel they’re more or less enslaved rather than partnered up.

So I just finished Season 3 of Digimon; Digimon Tamers
So I just finished Season 3 of Digimon; (Digimon Tamers). This was my first time viewing it all the way through because as a kid I missed a bunch of eps and never caught up. Honestly it was pretty good to a point. I loved Guilmon and the fact they introduced humans fusing with the Digimon was pretty badass……buuuut For all the good things I do have my issues. For starters, I just never got over the fact that the original digi-destined were not real and not apart of this series
. It would have been better if they were adults, since they were kids in the first series and teens in the second one. Also while I like the majority of the kids they still did not seem as likable(especially Henry’s lil sister and that kid with the glasses) as Tai and his group or Davis and his group. Also when they digivolved and bio-merged I wish they would’ve changed their voices a bit because they mostly stayed the same and the fusion voice needed some work. Also the final villain I found to be really lackluster, same with the last few eps and I didn’t like the ending. Personally I think Season 1 and 2 were better but this was pretty alright.

SORA AND TAI WHYYYY!!!
Digimon the movie and the 1st season build them up so DAMN MUCH! Its like if you were at a Restaurant and they are cooking your food which is the best food in the World but they only have it once a year in this one state that you are visiting family in every 2 years and it takes 1 hour to cook. You are so hungry at this point and anxiously anticipating it. Then when its finally done, you see it heading towards you and then they just DROP IT on the ground right in front of you. And that was the last one in stock till tomorrow but your plane comes tomorrow and you wont be in that state for god knows how long. The point is ITS F**KED UP those 2 never got together Spectacular Spider-man being cancelled, the Last 3 eps of DBZ and Tai not with Sora I will never get over it -_-
Watchin Digimon the 1st Movie
Well the 1st half of it anyways before I start watchin Season 2 on Netflix. It has so much 90s music and I FRICKIN LOVE IT!!
Rewatched all of Digimon Season 1
Just writing straight from the head so don't expect anything elegant
So its been a while since I've watched Digimon but Netflix brought me a big blast of Nostalgia this week when I logged in. All of Seasons 1 and 2 in English and Japanese. Of course I watched the English but also some of the Japanese just so I could see should some of the obvious censorship. To my surprise It still held up to me. There are a few shows I watched as a kid that were really entertaining then, but now they just do not hold up in my eyes. Examples would be Street sharks, Big Bad Beetleborgs, X-men, Monster Rancher, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog etc etc. but something about Digimon just connected with me.
Now its not one of those classic 90s shows like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon used to have that you can enjoy as an adult and catch all those innuendos but its just entertaining. They have a genunine threat thats going to destroy the EARTH. No Tournaments, No Cardgames, if they dont win its gonna be catastrophic for everyone. Its Deliciously Cheesey, The Dialogue is laughable at times, and its overly Repetitive with the reuse of Music and Animation BUT Goddamn you Learn to love each of these characters. You feel like you are actually with them and when you get to the last episode and they are saying their farewells its like saying goodbye to your childhood. Hell I'm a 22 year old weight lifter and I cried on the "last" episode of a show about kids and their Digital Monsters.
This show just gives me a warm feeling inside. I feel happier when watching it. As a matter of fact this is probably why i was so into MLP FiM for as long as I was because it made me feel happy. Digimon does that and it always will. I wont stop enjoying this show even though it has all these flaws. It makes me feel good. Time to watch the first movie and on to season 2!
TL:DR Digimon STILL KICKS ASS AS AN ADULT!!
