can we as a fandom take a step back and realize that while hotch and reid were both injured in 5x01, it is not the same?

reid dove in front of a bullet to save someone. reid is a hero.

hotch was attacked in his apartment by a serial killer. hotch is a victim.

are they both in the hospital and hurting? yes. both injured, both experiencing trauma. but let's not pretend that choosing to take a bullet for someone and being stabbed nearly to death next to your washing machine are the same.

reid made a choice. hotch was not given a choice.
