I feel like Sam’s been holding this move in his pocket ever since Imahara Joe told FCG he had a bomb in his chest. That said, I think this was about the most brilliant way he could have deployed it.
Think about it—FCG wakes up in a cave surrounded by the corpses of his dead friends, only to learn later that he was the one who murdered them. Now he’s in a cave with his new best friends, and he’s going killbot mode again, but this time, he’s fully aware of his state of mind, and fully in control of his decisions. And in picking his target, he saves all of their lives.
I just think that’s neat.
Brennan's performance here is CHILLING and INCREDIBLE, at once jovial and casual and absolutely enraged cold blooded murder
Also also before I go to bed: Luc calling every member of the m9 an aunt/uncle. Yasha hanging out with Caduceus while Beau is on a business trip. Kingsley helping Veth track down her tennage rebel son. Caleb having pieces of everyone’s homes in his spell components for easy teleportation. Jester apparently using sending to call everyone each morning. At the first sign of trouble the way everyone immediately flocks to each other. It’s so refreshing to see a family remain found even after the hardships that brought them together are dealt with! They might not be physically in proximity to each other anymore but the mighty nein remain family and involved in each others lives!!!

The Bor’dor reveal does make his introduction so incredibly funny. He tires to kill them with a crossbow and a 5th level lighting bolt, doesn’t succeed, and the excuse he runs with is “Uh, well, shit, fuck- I HAVE MAGIC POWERS?!? When did THOSE get here?!?!? What’s going on?!??? I am but a humble shepherd from *checks notesapp* Wildmouse” And it works?!?? No one did it like Bor’dor fucking Dog’son.
