Waterline Pt.10

As always, this story was inspired by @thelynxiedoodles and her lovely Blacksmith and (you’re as) Cold As Ice Princess LOZ AU… and her drawings of merlonk. :P

Link is not familiar with fear but he can feel panic reaching into his chest as he senses movement in the water around him. Zelda’s shallow breathing blows across his neck so he pulls her a litle higher up so that he can feel it across his cheek. His eyes catches the ominous vision of a large fin rising from the waves and he suddenly knows what fear is. Force to hold her with a single arm, he banishes his weapon. Link wills it into the form of a sword and bares every single one of his teeth but the sharks continue their circle about them. Too exhausted to Sing, he is forced to await their attack.
