Seven chapter two lol

“Well, let’s go, then.” Navi says and directs me over to the vines hanging down the cliff leading to the entrance of the Woods. I grab a couple vines and haul myself up, step by step, until I make it to the top and then run through the tunnel leading in.

As soon as I step past the tree barrier, the plants turn a darker green and the vegetation gets thicker. More trees climb towards the sky. Navi flutters behind me.

I weave through the trees, right, up, right, up again, and then stop before taking the next turn. To the left is a sign with a little tree on it and a slide and a Stalfos. Ooh, there it is! The Forest Training Center.

Hmm… Well, first of all, the Great Deku Tree would be immediately reborn, but even if it wasn’t immediate, the haze has enough concentrated magic that it could last for a good decade or so. A few… weaker Kokiri might vanish, though.

But nothing’s gonna happen to the Great Deku Tree for a long time, so we don’t have to worry about that!

Uh…

“That’s a deep question.”

Um, well, we’re technically supposed to be protectors of the Great Deku Tree. We exist to guide people out of the Forest and the Woods if they get stranded, and to defeat monsters that the Great Deku Tree can’t get rid of himself.

“He’s still a tree, even if he is a demigod. Trees are limited in movement.”

We’re… very skilled in magic, so that helps a lot. We take basic care of the Forest and the plants and stuff too. That’s fun.

Green’s my second favorite color. Blue’s my favorite! It’s sad that there’s not more blue in the forest. But Navi’s blue and there’re a ton of flowers that are blue, so I’m okay!

Every day is spent laughing and having fun and everybody is so nice to each other! Mido can be a butt hole sometimes, but now that I have a fairy, he should be nicer from now on.

It’s really fun! I can’t wait to have fun with Navi after we finish what the Great Deku Tree wants us to do.

Far apart? We’re only born a few decades apart… Is that a lot of time for you guys? Besides, it depends on the pod, too.

Some pods, like the ones the Know-It-All-Brothers came from, birth more than one, but almost identical, Kokiri. Others are like Saria and me, they only have one, but they’re different from the others.

Saria was born… maybe 300 years away from me, so she’s pretty old. Fado, she’s Two, was maybe 250 or something, and then Mido was born about 200 years.

Well, our average lifespan is less than 100 years, and even the oldest people are only a few years over a hundred. I’m only 14 years old, and me and my sister are only two years apart (she’s 16). Usually, siblings aren’t born very far apart, and there are occasional twins and triplets. Plus, we aren’t born from pods, or eggs, for that matter. We… come from adult females, in a way. That’s what a mom is- the woman who gave birth to you, or takes care of you. I suppose Navi would be kinda like an adoptive mother, then. She looks after you. Though maybe “protective older sister” would fit her better.

Yeah, a few decades is a really long time for us- it’s over a tenth of our lives, after all. In a few decades, we’re considered adults (at 18, actually). If One and Two are 50 years apart… well, Saria could practically be Fado’s grandma (mother’s mother).

So, you guys come from pods? Cool!
