Out of curiosity they have. And they consider themselves the lucky ones thanks to it.

Condor and Anubis were considered for recruitment, but both have this strange but strong moral compass that prevented them from agreeing. They both feel that someday they can fix things still, and refuse to cause unnecessary harm.

Cuckoo is just fucking BONKERS. He tries to bite, kill, and/or eat every living soul in sight, or tries to feed it to Maned. Being smaller and faster, Cuckoo has nearly toppled both Vulture and Hyena and neither want to talk about that fight.

Grim and Raven avoid others far too much. And Grim attacks anyone who tries to get near Raven, both as warning and to protect his brother. Raven... doesn't listen well. And is very bitey if he smells something new and alive close to him.

Ringo is... something else they don't want to get near.

So while some would be great candidates to work for Nightmare, he's simply had his mark left in those AUs to feed off them.

Vulture and Hyena would prefer to just continue annoying their Classic Past Selves.

Honestly the family is debating if they want to do Halloween. It IS Hunter's first and they want to, but not everyone is mentally recovered yet.

They might do their own version, have her trick-or-treat down the halls and offer her candy- the boys (Killer, Dust, Cross) teleporting behind a new door with a different (bad) costume each one.

She's 10000% gonna be a pumpkin for her first lol.

Polly doesn't feel like dressing up, but for their little baby they'd be a cutesie witch. Mainly to use their broom to bap Killer.

Axe would toddle after Polly and Hunter, in a wolfman costume.

Vulture and Hyena aren't FULLY trusted around the babybones, buuuuut they'd offer to help with the trick-or-treating event!

Hyena would dress as a Count Vampire fellow and Vulture would wear Groucho Marx glasses he yoinked from a Swap AU.

Macaw- prefers hot dogs

Lupo- Too messy for him, but he likes a good club sandwich now and then

Falcon- Jersey Mikes Style pile that fucker HIGH and oil and vinegar that shit

Jackal- Would rather eat anything else, sandwiches feel very not fancy to him

Jay- What is Food (has to be forced to sit and eat most the time)

Fox- Likes PB and honey sandwiches!

Crow- Is fine with anything, really. Prefers less mess usually though.

Hound- Brisket sandwich with all the bbq sauce

Vulture and Hyena and Dingo will eat anything.... Dingo sometimes even if it's not food....

Robin- Anything, but tears into it like a wild animal

A few times! In AUs where the Flowey/Temmi (for swaps) protects the Human. It's a job, really, so he tries to handle them according to how 'in the way' they are.

They're not the same as his AUs so he's rather cold and distant with them.

So excluding phones and money/wallets, as all of them carry those-

Macaw- A multitool for working on phones/laptops, and his old work ID from when he worked with his father at the Lab.

Lupo- Also a multitool, but more industrial? Like for less delicate work. And some monster candies.

Falcon- His brass knuckles as those are NOT a summoned weapon, and a cigar for when he needs to look as mafia as possible.

Jackal- Lint roller, and a flask for when the day is particularly annoying.

Jay- Hand cuffs given to him by Ink that can hold even the most bara berserk horror Sans, and a Star Sans badge.

Fox- His favorite bee plush toy from his stripes years, and a picture of him and his bro as kids.

Crow- Small sewing kit and a small first aid kit. A third is snacks for Chamomile.

Hound- Old Lab ID and his dog biscuits.

Vulture- Jerky and a photo of Water with a note on the back so he never forgets.

Hyena- Crossbow+bolts, and a scrap of his old scarf.

Robin- Old vial of DT and one of Dingo's plush toys from his babybones days.

Dingo- Any spare food he can find, and a stolen device allowing him to jump AUs. His muzzle also goes here when he's not wearing it.

If the humans fall in while they're away, the monsters will out of habit catch and eat. But when the boys are home, they let Boss and the Gang know and they handle it.

Hyena has no idea they exist, but Vulture made sure to release them. After handling Queen Undyne though the boys don't venture past Snowdin's town limits anymore. They're most likely just roaming and enjoying whatever they can find to eat.

Here's the thing, they just really don't care to.

Break the barrier with what, a THIRD of monsterkind left? After slaughtering and eating humans for how long??

What are they even going to do up there? Deal with more humans? While looking as they do??

They feel safer underground. Nightmare provides as long as they work, and if they decide they do want a life on the surface they're more likely to ask the Boss for some humanless AU or a place so far away from humans they can't be bothered.

But MK's death is what caused Hyena to snap, and help Vulture launch an attack on Queen Undyne.
