Some last-minute Mermay, inspired by Aquaria's Season 10 Drag Race mermaid runway.
Just a couple of polite protagonists battling underworld armies with the help of the gods that believe in them. And eating meals off the floor.
There’s something in the water... A Lugia illustration from last year.
Experimenting with a return to tumblr, as Twitter consistently feels less and less enjoyable as an art-sharing platform lately. Hello again! This is from January, I think!
Hey I just wanted you to know that I love ur art style so frickin much!! It looks all nice and shiny!!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate the compliment! I hope to start posting more art here soon too! :)
Last year I was asked by BOOM! Studios to create “my dream cover” for the Steven Universe ongoing comic series. Of course, I drew these two with a bunch of flowers. I’d say it’s probably my Steven Universe fanart magnum opus, haha! This preorder variant cover will be printed on issue #29, out in June!
I don’t typically reblog myself, but the reason this image is so special to me is that my very first Rose/Pearl drawing was way back in 2015, when I drew a hypothetical design for Pearl’s Homeworld outfit. This drawing was made not too long after the episode in which her official Homeworld design was revealed. So, getting to draw these two in even the vaguest “official” capacity is really nice!

Fusion Frenzy is out now, with five new stories about five great Fusions. Here are just a few clips from the Opal story, “Winging It,” written by Nicole Andelfinger and illustrated by Mollie Rose. Please pick up a copy from ComiXology or other digital services, or you can get physical copies from Boom Studios online, or from your local comic shop.
Hello followers! I was a colorist on this short (the art is by the amazing Mollie Rose). Hope everyone gets a chance to check it out!
OLD ART ALERT In my quest to catch my Tumblr back up to speed, here is the first full drawing I made on my iPad back in January 2018. I made it for our local anime convention, and it won the badge art contest to be printed on the non-VIP badges for the convention back in March 2018. Fun fact, the drawing that actually won is that original image (the third one there), and I felt so bad about its quality that I redrew it on my newly-gifted iPad and I am so glad that I did.
Throwback Thursday! Going through my drafts and I don’t recall ever posting this. This is from 2 or 3 years ago when I wanted to try to make fire look 3D.
I'm now curious on how Hiccup would alter his leg in order for it to stay in the stirrup better. Maybe he would simply add a "heel" type thing to the back so it doesn't slide forward?
When I drew that, my initial thought was about his prosthetic and how it wouldn’t make any practical sense the way I drew it, but I also didn’t intend for this that to be a full drawing in the first place, and I didn’t feel like understanding creative engineering so I just left it. Then I thought about how the characters in HTTYD are designed with large feet, and that the stirrup was way too small anyway and just wrong altogether. But I thought about that well into the coloring process, and only just now googled how actual amputees approach this issue, and apparently they just wear shoes. So my answer is: I don’t know.
Welcome to the baby bun club, Scorbunny!
My full submission to the @poketravelzine, featuring the Whirl Islands. This was a great project to be a part of!
