What if I started using my Tumblr again to post artwork? This is what I've been busy with! (Above: A demo reel featuring work of mine that appears in Star Trek: Discovery, The Crowded Room, Your Place or Mine, and Hello Tomorrow! on Apple TV, Paramount+, and Netflix)
A film I produced, NOVEMBER, will be premiering on the @nobudge app - May 1st - TOMORROW! Margot, a taciturn mortuary technician, is forced to acknowledge her own inner demons as she responds to a call involving two young children drown by their mother. ~~~ This production was truly inspiring, working with all the talent here was incredible in making this story come to life. The film deals with isolation, letting other people in, and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, which is a theme in the writing of Mae Mann (@__mvnn__) who also directed this. Working with Mae has always been a privilege in the pursuit of creating content that matters.
For those who do watch this: The bathtub in the film ended up in my living room for about 8 months after we wrapped.

I’m trying to be better about posting in general but have been wrapped up all summer with a multitude of projects, including diving into programming in React and CSS. I also started a CS certificate to help with all this, and the first project was to create a little game in Scratch. So I made this unemployment quarantine simulator some months ago at the start of the economic downturn to properly capture the job market. See if you can get a job before your bank account runs out! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/388024565/
For my 3D production class I had to create a three shot short that was a remake of an existing movie scene- with muppets. I ran out of time to do the particle water effects, but this is basically Pacific Rim anyway.
Tumblr finally brought this gem back after it was flagged as porn four months ago. Which I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around. Glad it’s loading again!
I’ve been busy animating some cats.
Belated update: We got our set together and put into Houdini, and just about have all the animation completely locked down. However, we cut the story by about two minutes due to time constraints around having a limited crew. After an extensive rewrite, it’s just short and sweet now, and the kitchen set (and most background elements in general) will be virtually unseen behind the depth focus.
Ongoing process of the set. All UV’d minus ongoing adjustments.
The For Luna team has been busy as ever lately. We’re rolling on getting the set done while simultaneously gearing up to get into blocking animation by next week. Above are some stills of a first lighting test with some early textures applied. We still have so much left, but it’s starting to feel real!
hey!! just thought i’d let u know i have 2 of your pieces as my lockscreen & bg bc they’re so pretty!! hope thts ok! i love ur art!
I’m honored! That is absolutely okay, I’m happy I was able to make work that made it to your backgrounds. :’)
In about a week, less than 1% of America raised $18 million dollars to fund a steel wall. How impossibly evil are we?
So I had to respond with a parody for financing something that actually matters, replacing Flint, Michigan’s lead-filled water pipes. You can trust me that this is not a scam, after all, I’m using my REAL name. https://www.gofundme.com/FixFlintsWater (Somebody already donated $100 before I finished writing this post, maybe there’s some hope for humanity) Edit: I just want to make sure everyone knows the first half of the campaign story is a 1 to 1 spoof of “We The People Will Fund The Wall”. I added a real run down at the bottom outlining that the campaign is meant to raise awareness for this real and tangible ongoing tragedy that can be solved, the solution being to finish replacing Flint’s water pipes as quickly as possible, which is what the campaign is specifically for. There’s already campaigns that focus on supplying water in the city, which I’d like to forward the funds to if we can’t fix the pipes faster obviously.
I’m waiting to hear back from GoFundMe to see if it’s alright to send to a like-similar objective, especially since I know the few donations are from people who want to see the pipes fixed. There’s a big difference between supplying bottled water and actually solving the problem, and I especially think that if we can find $18 million dollars worth of a steel wall, Flint shouldn’t have to wait another year to get clean pipes. Either way, let’s make sure anything raised does some good and gets to the right place!
Final Edit: $2,386 dollars were raised and made it to the Flint Water Fund, hosted by the charity organization United Way of Genesee County! Thank you again to those who donated, even though the difference was a small one in comparison to this crisis, every action counts-- and we made that difference.
Proud to announce my work on the upcoming game Dreams of Tomorrow is wrapped! This is the third board game that I entirely did the artwork for.
Forgot to post these! Concepts of the two portions for the For Luna set. We’ve been using these to construct the the layout and eventually to emulate the feel in the film. This was a fun style to try out.
Monday Warm ups.
Saturday Practice.
Quick little studies. 10 minutes each on the left two, about 25 on the right because I was messing around with foreground elements I didn’t even waaannnnt
Finally had a chance to get some time off after an extremely busy year, I’ve been catching up on sleep as is, but I had a day where it rained for the whole day, just 100% rainy mood day. It alone recharged my energy for 2019, so I thought doing a piece on it to get back into things made sense. Side note: This is the first time I have ever gotten Photoshop’s hard mix filter to do something I liked.
