I can get behind this definition.

I gotta say, while I don't agree with ANY of the reasons why SJWs hate bronies, I can't help but hate them, or to be more exact the fandom. I just hate the fact that MLP is literally EVERYWHERE nowadays. I can't go a single day of browsing the internet without coming across something MLP related. Not only that, it's being combined with fandoms that are pretty much the opposite of MLP. It pretty much infects Fallout (a game series if you didn't know) like a cancer. You're pretty cool though
Sorry, man. I can’t deny that I also insert ponies into genres where they REALLY don’t belong…
There’s just something inherently humorous in injecting these adorable little ponies into these various Crapsack Worlds.
I know it can get annoying to see something everywhere you look (believe me - I’ve had more than my fill of a few fandoms and movie franchises out there), but you just gotta learn to let it slide right by. It only gets to you if you let it get to you. :3
Don't forget that there was a rule about there being a touhou crossover with everything years before mlp:fun came along.
Touhou is one of those Japanese bullet hell game series. Most of the content related to touhou, the comics, art, several fangames, all the animations, are done by fans. Touhou was the proto-mlp:fim as far as fandom participation came along.
Or, you could look at it like the presence of memes in Internet culture in general. I'm sure there are people who don't like memes, but they show up. They have their place in Internet culture. Ditto for mlp.
>People get angry at Jon for not making JonTron videos and only doing Game Grumps >Jon leaves Game Grumps to focus on making JonTron videos >People get angry at Jon for making JonTron videos and leaving Game Grumps Listen. I can’t say I’m surprised that that just fucking happened, but I’m honestly disappointed at how fucking predictable it was.
Whenever people get emotionally invested in something, they're going to be irrational \ a little bit crazy about it.
Commentary content like LPs have the personality of the commenter as the primary attraction to people. It seems to work a little like a personality cult, which raises a lot of red flags for me. As soon as some of the audience turns into sycophants, I get a little creeped out about the whole thing.
Remember, the word "fan" is derived from "fanatic".
