Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke of “The Dick Van Dyke Show” taking Q&A from the studio audience (Dec. 2, 1963)
Behind the scenes at TV’s Camelot MTM and DVD.
The Dick Van Dyke Show - My Husband is a Check-Grabber, season 2
Ok, this is one of my favorite scenes of this show. You can see in just a few seconds not only how they love each other, but also the respect, the understanding, the adimiration and the trusting they have on each other, especially in this scene after he did something Laura wanted him to do. Something that he thought was right and she thought was wrong. And the interesting thing is that it wasn’t Laura that proved him he was wrong, but their son did. And he kinda apologizes to her with just a simply action.
But what makes it so special, I think, is the way she suddenly stares at him, she’s kinda suprised with his attitude. She doesn’t look at him as a wife here, she looks as a person that admires another person very much, as a proud mother looking at her son. And then he does that little glance at her and then smiles… you notice how fine he feels about it, as if he suddenly turned the greatest person in the world for doing that.
I don’t know what makes it so special for me, really. I think it’s just that Dick and Mary had that huge chemistry, which makes the whole thing real in a certain way, and because of that, their acting is just what real couples should do, like an example to follow.
DVD and MTM A great scene for Dick and Mary.
The Dick Van Dyke Show - The Two Faces of Rob, season 2

Find the joy of living’s in loving and giving Fifty years later, it’s still cool to see behind-the-scenes stuff from The Dick Van Dyke Show.
Reunited This photo is all sorts of awesome: Dick, Larry, Rosie, Mary and Carl.
Amazon is now taking reserve orders for the set, which is slated for release on November 13, 2012.
DVD on DVD This is full of win though do we really need Blu-ray res for something that started in 1961? Unless it’s been remastered?
Morey Amsterdam’s The Dick Van Dyke Show lyrics
So you think that you’ve got trouble, well, trouble’s a bubble, So tell ol’ Mr Trouble to get lost. Why not hold your head up high and stop cryin’, start tryin’ And don’t forget to keep your fingers crossed. When you find the joy of livin’ is lovin’ and givin’ You’ll be there when the winning dice are tossed. A smile is just a frown that’s turned upside down So smile and that frown’ll defrost. And don’t forget to keep your fingers crossed.
Trouble’s a bubble Dick van Dyke earlier this year, prior to presenting Mary Tyler Moore with her Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2012 SAG Awards. He also sings the theme to The Dick Van Dyke Show—yes, there were lyrics, and even I didn’t know that (despite knowing the lyrics to Bewitched and Bonanza!).
Coming up on CBS Reblogged for American modernist graphic design as well as The Dick Van Dyke Show.

Dawn of a comedienne Anyone reckon this is Genesis when it comes to Mary Tyler Moore’s comedic career?
On The Dick Van Dyke Show More Laura and Rob.
Rare color photo of “The Dick Van Dyke Show”; episode 69, “Too Many Stars” (1963).
In colour Love seeing the Petries’ living room in colour—and there’s Deacon!
Deacon I know people go on about Dick, Mary, Rosie, Morey and even Carl when it comes to The Dick Van Dyke Show, but one of my favourites was Richard Deacon. He was as funny as the others with his outraged dignity. In terms of screen time, surely he and Larry Mathers had roughly the same? I was disappointed to see him not shown among the stars when the Revisited episode opened (and it can’t be to do with the fact that he is dead, as Morey Amsterdam was given a credit).
Why is the Dick Van Dyke Show on so many TV Guide magazine covers, you ask?
Because America f***ing loves Dick Van Dyke.
You better believe it! ;]
