Post-Magnum, 328 GTS It just doesn’t look as good with the federal colour-keyed bumpers and the later spec.
March 31 1949 marked the founding of Abarth & C by Carlo Abarth (1908-1979) in Bologna, Northern Italy. Abarth is celebrating the milestone with the new “70th Anniversary” range
Abarth Happy 70th birthday, Abarth.
Plague inc is getting harder and harder…

1953 Fiat 8V Zagato Elaborata - prettiest car in the world.
Look at dem side vents 👀
Fiat If only Fiat still did stuff like this under its own marque.
Aston Martin DB2/4 Spyder ‘Superleggera’, 1956, by Carrozzeria Touring. The first Aston Martin to be built using the Superleggera method of lightweight construction. Touring built 3 prototypes expecting orders for more but none were forthcoming. All 3 cars still exist
Superleggera How sexy is this? Pre-DB4, and you can see the genesis of the production Touring style.
Lancia Stratos
Simple yet effective Instantly recognizable as a Stratos.
Arnolt-Bristol Bolide Roadster, 1954, by Bertone. Created by Chicago-based industrialist Stanley Harold Arnolt II, built on a Bristol chassis with a BMW engine and styled by Franco Scaglione at Bertone. Chassis number 3033 of 130 made is to be auctioned by Bonham’s at their Zoute sale in Belgium
Arnolt–Bristol Had to repost this—first time I’ve seen any of the Wacky Arnolt cars appear on Tumblr.
Lancia Gamma Scala, 1980, by Pinifarina. A saloon proposal based on the Pininfarina-designed Gamma Coupé using the longer wheelbase of the Gamma saloon. But it was already too late for the slow-selling Gamma which was replaced by the more conventional Thema in 1984
Tre vi I like it. Imagine this instead of the Gamma Berlina.
Countach That original Countach concept was so pure. The Gandini wedge. And, for people my age, represented by a Matchbox model (no. 27, wasn’t it?).
288 Gto + F40 = interesting choice.
The ultimate Back when you could see a clear development of the Dino 246 GT into these, via the 308 GTB.
Audi Zuma 1998, by Zagato. A concept based on an Audi A3 which celebrated Zagato’s 80th birthday. Audi made the TT instead
One size fits two This reminds me a lot of Zagato’s earlier Hyena concept for Lancia, which later saw limited production.

Italian classic Reblogged for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Zagato.
Ghia AC Cobra, 1965. This was Ghia’s proposal for an updated AC Cobra. AC went with Frua’s version instead
Rebodying the Cobra I hadn’t seen this before, but it could have been a way forward and it might have survived into the 1970s. Instead we got the 427 and 428 and no one (well, OK, 81) bought them …
Olivetti Lettera 35
Olivetti Lettera 35 I’m unfamiliar with this keyboard layout, unless the P and 5 are intentionally transposed.
Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8C Monterosa Coupé, 1947 by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. The Tipo 8C was an ill-fated attempt by Isotta Fraschini to re-enter the prestige car market after WW2. It was powered by a 3.4 litre rear-mounted V8 engine. In addition to 4 saloons built by Zagato, Touring also built a saloon and this coupé but Isotta Fraschin was closed by its owners, the Italian government, before any more cars were made
IF only (part two) Since I reblogged the 1949 saloon proposal, here’s the earlier coupé.
