What does Pak ’n’ Save think its name really is?
Pak ’n’ Save still drives me mental. It thinks it’s called Pak ’n Save. Given the apostrophe is meant to denote the omission of a character or characters (e.g. Toys Are Us, rock and roll, shortened to Toys ’R’ Us and rock ’n’ roll), then what does Pak ’n’ Save think its name really is? I thought it was Pa[c]k and Save, requiring two apostrophes (it really should be Pa’k ’n’ Save but I can forgive creative spelling for a trade mark). Now, if there’s only one apostrophe, then is it Pak an Save, Pak in Save, Pak on Save, or what? It’s certainly not Pak and Save.
