With a future for himself in mind, the science fair incident never occurs and himself and Ford stay on good terms during and after college. Stan has fun making his comic but is looking to stretch his creative muscles, and is feeling stifled. Luckily for him, when Stanford decides to move to some nowhere town in Oregon to do research he invites his brother along. Now on the other side of the country, Stan uses the anomalies they research as inspiration, and Ford works to prove his scientific metal. But, when the two end up entangled in the web of a dream demon, it quickly becomes they have no idea what they’re up against.
